Read carefully, because I'm only going to type this once... If you don't like my list, make your own dang list. My list has been, and always will be, a list of recent MSHSL varsity players who forgo their MSHSL eligibility to play elsewhere. I do not feel the need to explain my criteria... so I won...

Says who? The Guy Whom Made the list and has the keys to the kingdom! And common sense shows you that most topics on here are about the MSHSL... Nice try, but common sense tells me your comment is asinine. There are over 1,200 posts related to Shattuck, and the vast majority are in the high s...

Saw that, but this list is just MSHSL varsity defections.

Hey, Sats, how strong do you feel LVN will be next year? Obviously, they have some huge holes to fill. Do they have the talent in the system, or entering the system, to plug the gaps left by the departing seniors? Big holes on defense, no doubt, who steps in to fill the holes left by McNeely, Sadek,...

Luke Seper has set the standard against which all others will now be measured. He nailed his approach, threw in the complexity of reaching behind his head to remove the ponytail, gave it a nice shake setting the flow in motion thereby making it slow-mo worthy, and said hi to mom and dad. All while s...

This one was over when Seper revealed his hair. LVN is an extremely loose team as evidenced by the humor demonstrated during introductions. Loose teams are typically very difficult to beat. They have tremendous confidence and it shows in their attitude. Let's see if it carries over the next two nigh...

The New Prague players have great carefully constructed mullets, but they fall short on their blueline approach. They're too stiff and their hair is too slick. To be really competitive in this contest you have to hit the blueline with speed giving your hair a little bounce and then flip it right bef...

Hey, at least I amuse myself, which is all that matters to me. I am now jumping back across the line, until the next time I see that Luverne line referred to using an acronym, at which point it is highly likely the line will once again be crossed.

All Hockey Hair Team - 2015

The kids have really begun to take this seriously. Many of them have been grooming, or not grooming, with this contest in mind since October. Even earlier for some, I imagine. Let's help the All Hockey Hair Team video guy out by offering up some early nominees, so he knows who to look for during the...

After this year, it will be very interesting to see what Nelson and Smedsrud do. Besides those two, is there going to a major dropoff in talent, most of the other top dogs in the section, I believe, were seniors? Any input? I am sure notTONIGHT knows what JAZ is up to. Will they both be leaving for...

[/quote] I agree with you Bettman, Luverne was outplayed. New Ulm won races, and battles all over the ice. The JAZ line had 9 points and all the goals. It happened all year long, in closely contested games the other lines didn't produce. Odd man rushes were a game changer for New Ulm, they finished ...

Hats off to EP's #11 who went from scrum to scrum trying to pull his guys out. Seemed to be the only EP player on the ice who understood the potential ramifications of what was transpiring. Very smart and mature behavior by that young man. His actions should be acknowledged and applauded.

I agree that checking should be put back to earlier ages where it used to be, however in many of the games I've been to this year I have seen the highest level of contact in many years for sure since the 2012 rules change.but come to think of it as I think back on things, there are a couple first p...

My theory is that because of the over reaction to checking from behind, we have taught a generation of players to turn their back on the defender when they get the puck. So when so many puck carriers have their back turned, you can't hit them. Checking from behind has turned (get it?) into a self-f...

Does anyone have the final score of the LVN game last night? I was at the game, and it was 10-0 when I left, but I can't find the final anywhere. It's not on the hub or the MSHSL website. Just curious. Not sure those kinds of games do anyone any good.

MNH isn't perfect, of course, but I like the concept here. Keeping "elite" hockey under one quasi-public umbrella (as opposed to the messiness of private-monopoly Elite League + private-competitive summer + a MNH-run Advanced process, etc.) is a lot cleaner and more logical, and at the sa...
