The whole small school enrollment thing is tired. Some examples that all the people from small schools need to remember: Roseau (AA) - 374 Warroad - 318 Breck - 398 So let's just drop that. There are all sorts of examples of smaller schools that produce fantastic sports teams from time to time. Rose...

Re: Remaining posotive
The NAHL is the highest level of hockey in the state other than d-1 college and the Wild people should come most ppl have never seen an nahl game I'd argue that some D3 teams are playing at a higher level too. (St. Olaf, for example) There is no way that a team from the NA would beat any team from ...

Urban Ikeman: I'm with you on this. I don't like kids leaving their hometown for any reason - I'm just a firm believer that it really doesn't matter where you play... if you're good enough, there are ample opportunities to prove it against the best that your age group has to offer (High Performance ...

right when the gophers started to get momentum in the 2nd haula gave it right back to BC when he decided to punch the glass after hansen failed to capatilze on haulas blind pass to him in front of the net for a point blank chance. 30 seconds later BC scored when you show frustration like that you l...

"Cheap Players" Update from Years Ago
A little update on hot topic that was on this forum some 5 years or so ago. I always wondered how this particular hockey career would turn out. Well, here's a link to the thread from way back when, along with a link to a story that was just published today. http://www.juniorhockey.com/news/news_deta...

Looks like the Albert Lea Carlson kid might have made the jump to early or to high of a level. I have seen this kid play a few times and he has good talent. He's way to good for Albert Lea , but in my OPINION he would benefit more in the long run from playing at the AAA , MJHL or NAHL3 level his fi...

woah don't tell me you think there's a connection between Gopher commits and Mr. Hockey? That's never been thought of before  Justin Kloos seems like the favorite. That line in Duluth East with Olson, Randolph and Toninto will be sure to produce at least one candidate. Another team I look to f...

I just now noticed that there are 4 kids that are playing in the Elite League that played bantams last year. I'm not saying those kids aren't elite hockey players or anything like that, but to put them in the Elite League is completely ludicrous. What an embarrassment for the league. Somebody please...

So just so I have this straight... The NA is watered down, so somebody shouldn't skip their senior year to do it. Instead, they should go play a year of AAA (to the tune of $7k or so) to hone their skills. I just have to ask... where are all those players that are playing in the watered down NA comi...

i'm sure carlson will do fine. albert lea will miss him. he has put up some very good numbers but he's in a very week section that doesnt get a lot of visibility. juniors will give him a chance to develop all season long that playing teams like austin and mankato east wont. no one has said it but t...

This player didn't even make the High school elite team. He was on the tryout team but not on the final teams roster? How is going to JRS going to benefit this player if he didn't even make the elite team. I'm sure he would get more ice time in Albert Lea , MN playing high school VS playing a extra...

I'm assuming that if he's bantam eligible he's a young 96. My advice is to pick a community that you like, have your son tryout for bantams in that community, and make a home for yourself and enjoy the ride. It's over way too quick. Seriously, if you are basing your decision on hockey, that's the wr...

They can do this as this is a before and after team. they play enough games to qualify for nationals. It is kind of a wanting the best of both worlds. Play the higher level, more interesting MN high school season but also get some nationals exposure. Or maybe they just didn't get an invite to the E...

Section 1 will win with all those Shattuck kids Thats about all they got, except for Cody Meyer of New Prague. The rest must of been used to fill out the roster! What a terrible thing to say. Very disrespectful towards the rest of the kids that are on this team. We all know this process isn't perfe...
