Your contract is from the beginning of the season to the end. Go Guy, as I looked backed on the thread I'm confused,(doesn't take much) are you a resident of the Lakeville school district or did your son open enroll? Somebody mentioned Apple Valley. Please clarify. It's my understanding that most h...

I don't want to kill the discussion here, but...please make sure it's not personal, either in relation to a Forum member or a person who's not here to defend himself from anonymous claims. Thanks. I was at the North vs. STA game and got there a little early and saw TE coaching the JV game. Anyone h...

Re: Tic Tic Tic......Tic Tic Tic..... Bomb goes off

Well the bomb is ticking at ole Lakeville North only about a week away from the long term, loyal North players who grew up in the program with one goal to make the high school team are cut for the promised recruits. Then Tic..Tic..Tic and Boom the life long north parents and supporters go nuts. Sta...

Anyone besides me surprised Sandelin has Swaney spending a 2nd year in USHL instead of up in a UMD uniform this year?
Lots of UMD players came back from last years roster, no room for Swaney. Great player!

There are less than 2000 college (D1 or 2) hockey players. In all, probably 40,000 US high school age players. About 5% assuming all are coming from US which we know is not happening. Schools have 18 scholarships that can be split up to more than 18 kids. Which they do (Ivy league schools do not of...

IF the players are evaluated individually, the odds are still low that section 5 only sends one skater to the 54. There should be individual feedback, or better yet straight up publish a ranking after the festivals. I suspect they come in with ranking at the start. These are big boys they can handl...

I don't have a problem with that. I guess we'll see if the MSHSL does but I would be surprised if they did. He is on the team and served his suspension. Classy move by Klatt if you ask me. The suspension is not yet served. x # of games or two weeks of, whichever is longer. Will sit beginning of fal...

This isn't a HS issue. The issue is the money, time, and effort put into youth hockey (in that order). AAA hockey has created an easy network for the best kids to meet at a young age. They become friends and end up wanting to play high school with the best players, be it a mega public school or a p...

Lakeville North could be strong depending on departures. Poehling, Eneback, and Pehrson are the big guns and the key returns needed. If those 3 are back then they're dangerous. They'll also return some nice players in Reed Smith, Klans, Brandt, McGlade and Draeger. Spencer Schneider had lots of hyp...

Re: The $6800 question.

The intent of open enrollment program in Minnesota was educational. I have yet to meet a child who opened enrolled and didn't play sports. As a former teacher my chances of meeting a student who came to my school for an education and was not heavily focused on a sprt where we excelled at was very h...

Re: Stillwater - Lakeville North

Unless you are those elite groups your opinion matters little to me. I'm actually surprised LN was able to get 5 goals against SW and Benson. I was expecting something around 3-2 or 4-2 SW win. :P Going back to the game. I knew SW was good this year, but to beat LN will keep SW in the conversation ...

Sats, your summary of Lakeville N the past couple of years truly points out an amazing run. Community should be very proud of that. I'm not a Lakeville fan but I'm pretty sure a state championship can be won by a team with five losses, so one loss who cares. I kind of think the Lakevillie coaches a...

in my opinion the AA / A system is set up for only 1 weekend a year. State Tournament time. To get away from the A teams playing an All AA schedule, until section time, they should make it mandatory that if you claim to be an A team your schedule needs to reflect that. At least half, or more, of th...

This is too bad. I still can remember the 1976 State Team...they were fun to watch. For all you young skaters today, Richfield was one of the teams to beat in the 60's, 70''s, 80's and early 90's. How things change.
