Your contract is from the beginning of the season to the end. Go Guy, as I looked backed on the thread I'm confused,(doesn't take much) are you a resident of the Lakeville school district or did your son open enroll? Somebody mentioned Apple Valley. Please clarify. It's my understanding that most h...

I don't want to kill the discussion here, but...please make sure it's not personal, either in relation to a Forum member or a person who's not here to defend himself from anonymous claims. Thanks. I was at the North vs. STA game and got there a little early and saw TE coaching the JV game. Anyone h...

Re: Tic Tic Tic......Tic Tic Tic..... Bomb goes off
Well the bomb is ticking at ole Lakeville North only about a week away from the long term, loyal North players who grew up in the program with one goal to make the high school team are cut for the promised recruits. Then Tic..Tic..Tic and Boom the life long north parents and supporters go nuts. Sta...

Re: Nick Swaney
Lots of UMD players came back from last years roster, no room for Swaney. Great player!WestMetro wrote:May be a little beyond the high school category....
Anyone besides me surprised Sandelin has Swaney spending a 2nd year in USHL instead of up in a UMD uniform this year?

problem is the athletes home town (Rosemont) sends the tax dollars approximately $4800 to the new school (Lakeville). Transferring tax dollars for kids to play sports was not what state legislators had in who mind when the passed the open enrollment law. Where I live, I know of 1 family who opened ...

IF the players are evaluated individually, the odds are still low that section 5 only sends one skater to the 54. There should be individual feedback, or better yet straight up publish a ranking after the festivals. I suspect they come in with ranking at the start. These are big boys they can handl...

I don't have a problem with that. I guess we'll see if the MSHSL does but I would be surprised if they did. He is on the team and served his suspension. Classy move by Klatt if you ask me. The suspension is not yet served. x # of games or two weeks of, whichever is longer. Will sit beginning of fal...

This isn't a HS issue. The issue is the money, time, and effort put into youth hockey (in that order). AAA hockey has created an easy network for the best kids to meet at a young age. They become friends and end up wanting to play high school with the best players, be it a mega public school or a p...

Lakeville North could be strong depending on departures. Poehling, Eneback, and Pehrson are the big guns and the key returns needed. If those 3 are back then they're dangerous. They'll also return some nice players in Reed Smith, Klans, Brandt, McGlade and Draeger. Spencer Schneider had lots of hyp...

Re: The $6800 question.
The intent of open enrollment program in Minnesota was educational. I have yet to meet a child who opened enrolled and didn't play sports. As a former teacher my chances of meeting a student who came to my school for an education and was not heavily focused on a sprt where we excelled at was very h...

Fun to see what people posted in the past. And the winner of the poll question was Holy Family :) only team to win 3 games and are the Sports Authority Classic Champs! Ethan Mesler is only a junior and should be among the top-10 mr. hockey favorites for next year and Matty Anderson is the best AA d...

Swaney is a game changer. ( I would even argue that he would be giving Tufte a run for his money for Mr. Hockey at this point) Great hockey player (just look at what he is doing in USHL right now if there is any doubt)...personally I think Ess is a better hockey player then Knoepke...with that bein...

Re: Stillwater - Lakeville North
Unless you are those elite groups your opinion matters little to me. I'm actually surprised LN was able to get 5 goals against SW and Benson. I was expecting something around 3-2 or 4-2 SW win. :P Going back to the game. I knew SW was good this year, but to beat LN will keep SW in the conversation ...

Sats, your summary of Lakeville N the past couple of years truly points out an amazing run. Community should be very proud of that. I'm not a Lakeville fan but I'm pretty sure a state championship can be won by a team with five losses, so one loss who cares. I kind of think the Lakevillie coaches a...

Enrollment? I watched your Squirt A team beat Andover yesterday. 7 out of 14 kids on that roster, including the brand new goalie, are Duluth and Proctor Kids. That's half the team. Add up the enrollments of Hermantown, Proctor and Denfeld and you are right around 1900, same as Edina. There is not o...
