1) From my experience as it has been mentioned before take him to the park in the winter as much as possible. Skate with him and or have friends of his there. Open skating at any rink year round, same thing. 2) There is no magic clinic that is going to leap frog him not matter how cool it sounds, &q...

I think the culture at Made is turning a lot of people looking for alternatives. I like Made but they need to remember that their skaters are clients and tray them more as such.

I think you are correct. Widescreen format, standard def. Hockey is so much better in HD.

Marshall Backup Goaltender

They are down 1-5 to Breck and get a PP opportunity with 44.8 seconds left in the game. Marshall coach puts in senior backup goalie so he can "get in the game". 30 seconds later he gives up a short handed goal to Breck. Thanks coach!!

I just did a search again on DirecTV and it is only listed on 45 which I think is not going to broadcast HD. If I remember right I heard that the ratings don't justify production costs or something like that. Wouldn't you think standard definition equipment is going the way of the 8 track.

You have to remeber their rink seats 2-3x the average HS venue. Close to 3000 capacity.

I've seen some squirt games the past few years and these kids are GOOD. They understand the game and are fun to watch. If some people want to throw out a ranking from what they see and are not using kids names, have fun! Somehow they are overzealous? Ranking Peewees who are 11 is somehow acceptable ...

This article got me thinking. My kids go to a public school in a decent suburban district. I was looking at the daily schedule at the mid-elementary level: Total hours in school day: 6.5 Class size: 22 Core Subjects (Math, Science, Reading/Spelling, Social Studies/History): 4 hours (some specialize...

Made Choice scheduling 20% of practices on an outdoor sheet.

Kind of goes against one of their biggest selling points.

Outdoor ice is too unpredictable to be scheduling practices for late November when most citis that flood their parks don't even bother to try until the middle of December and stop maintaining mid February.

Not providing enough info to make a call. What part of metro are you from? Where did he play this past summer? What tryouts did he do and what teams have offered a spot?

Lost me at the part where you say your 7 year old made the decision. Decisions like these are made by parents. No reason to apologize for skating Choice IMO.

All of the Walser teams are 3rd teams behind Orange and Black at MM and have only been together for 3 weeks.

Machine Black won the Border Battle last week. Outmatched two WI teams (Blaze and Bucks) but were given a game by Team Walser in game 1 beating them 2-1.
