I don't think I am being ignorant, I am only making a prediction that I am standing strong by, Lourdes winning (5-1 if we're getting detailed) and in the event that they do lose to Northfield I will be the first to congratulate NF because it's about time some new blood represents section 1A in St. ...

Nice to see what this team can do now that it's finally healthy. Lots of variety on the scoresheet today. Thanks for the updates.

And before you say something about the ability to opt up in hockey, you should realize that hockey needs the opt-up option because of the small number of teams, otherwise you would have pretty much a metro (AA) and an outstate (A) state tournament. Nobody wants that. I think we are in agreement abo...

"A" hockey used to exist for small schools to have a chance to play in a State Tournament. That is until rich parents figured out they could enroll their kids in private schools and use that as another way to get little Johnny into the Tourney. So they just keep making more private "A" teams consis...

I'm going to go with the hounds but the officiating is always skeptical up the range so that could be an equalizer. Hounds 5 en T'Hawks 2 It might be a bit skeptical on da range during the season, but...... everyone has to play in Duluth to get to the state tourney for what I think is about 20 year...

Re: White Bear Lake vs. Hill-Murray at Aldrich 12-22-11

For WBL the real factor is, how many players did HM take from WBL this year? Pretty sure that when HM recruits WBL system, the players that are asked are not 3rd or 4th line guys nor are they the 5th or 6th defenseman from WBL. http://ui31.gamespot.com/1214/deadhorsebeat_4.gif I'm guessing you watc...

Re: White Bear Lake vs. Hill-Murray at Aldrich 12-22-11

WBL 4-3-1 vs HM 3-3. Both teams have started out struggling with lots of turnover from last year's squads. They remain the favorites to win the SEC & CSC conferences. I still expect they will play each other again on March 2nd at the Coliseum in the 4AA final to go to State. HM has had a nice win o...

Saw North vs AV - didn't see much from Winiecki - didn't see much from anyone except North's goalie Hart - looked solid. Where'd he come from - thought they didn't have anything in the net with Lindgren gone? 32 shots vs 11 shots? That pretty much sums it up for North.... Ok, I see Wienieki has 5g,...

I watched their last 2 games. They simple don't have much talent. I think L. North has Wienecki (sp?) and that is about it. B. Wienecki really impressed Me in the games I saw Him play last year as a Junior. Natural scorer with great vision of the rink. Playing in all star series at end of last year...

This year I would say 7AA to this point of season. In class "A", I would propose that 7A could quite possibly have as much depth as anyone also. Hibbing,D- Marshall, D- Denfeld, I Falls and Virginia, can all be dangerous to most "A" teams, IMO.

Also, at some point you need to stray from the LPH rankings... otherwise you could just repost theirs all the time. Many of those same arguments can be made for other teams further down the rankings. BTW, don't put too much stock in LPH's preseason rankings... a good example why is that they had th...

Good hockey game tonight between New Prague and Lourdes in Rochester. New Prague was leading 3-2 in the 3rd period and then came the penalty calls. 3 powerplay goals later and well, Lourdes wins. I just wish the Referees would let the kids decide the game one time down there. It looked just like th...

Re: Lourdes vs New Prague

Lourdes gave up a short handed goal and I am pretty sure Lourdes had a few guys in the box including Farrell twice. New Prague just didn't get the puck in the net when they had the opportunity, (Neumann did a good job in the net) and the Eagles played a good game. Fun to watch! It was a great game ...

They were fooling around with each other in school but it got out of hand. Since a student died last year while fooling around the school had to come down hard. I also heard 2 game suspension (at the first game). Yes they should have a big impact since some of their best players are in that group. ...

I heard that it was a good decision by the coaches and AD, they felt there was no reason to reward bad behavior. Just what I heard, of course who really knows what the truth is?

Re: Grand Rapids (2-0) @ Virginia (2-0) 12-6-11

Both teams winning their first two games, Grand Rapids by a larger margin. Can the Blue Devils keep it close at home with a Thunderhawk team that beat them by 6 goals last year away? I would bet that Virginia will put out an extra spirited effort for their new coach since He is a former GR player. ...
