It's a down year compared to the previous few years in terms of overall raw top ended talent. That being said this years Bantams is more balanced as a whole allowing teams that usually are not in the top 10-15 to have a fair chance. I would say lets see how you fare against Stillwater, Prior Lake, W...

Didn't even know Anoka still had a team... Looks like they are having a stellar season. Elk and Cenn are good teams but I'd prob rank them similar to Anoka. There is only a few teams that have a chance this year and unfortunately it's the Hornets , Trojans and I'd throw in Prior Lake. The rest are j...

My bet is the scenario went something like this.......Parents have been telling their son, ever since he was a Pee Wee, "son, keep working hard, everyone gets their chance. You just have to wait your turn....that's how it is in high school hockey." In the meantime he has worked his a$$ of...

Rapids fans are impossible to please. I remember them complaining about Pagel at hockey day last year, calling it a practice rink. The Rapids rink is one of the best, and they usually get a good turnout, but that doesn't mean everything else is bad. One thing that might have led to decreased attend...

Losing that many games does not make for a fun year. It might be fun for their opponents that are used to getting thumped by Wayzata. Wayzata may have players quit at year end and try something else. Just a fantastic comment...Hey all you associations out there with crappy squirt teams...you all sh...

Re: What makes a good association?

What are the traits of the great associations? Of course numbers, numbers numbers...I know. But what else are the common denominators that they all share? Are they successful because of the sheer numbers of kids to choose from, or are those numbers high because they are consistently successful? Chi...

Easy Blue- Bellows/Dornba/S.Walker They would still be better than most, just interested. NEVER said the sky was falling. You nutjob !!! I'm a nutjob? OG is talking about kids that would have NO impact at Varsity. Bellows is slow, Dornbach is small and Walker is a first year Bantam who barely made ...

I am hearing some big associations are passing over a lot of 2nd years in favor of 1st years for the A team. Don't believe that was the intent, be a development tool for the AA team. If I was a AA coach that is what I would want my A coach to do...then you have a more experienced AA team the follow...

With this new rule on 5 min majors, I think it would be great if when people post scores they also post how many 5 min pen. happened in the game. No need to name names and I don't even really care if you say which team. I think this new rule is going to be a disaster. With the refs calling a 5 min ...

Thanks C-dad. Good sized 8th grader. He is. We ran into the whole family at the movies one night and Kiefer shook my 9th grader's hand. My son's hand just vanished inside Kiefer's. He's not super tall, but very thick, just like Brian. Several reports from kids - KB has skipped 8th grade and...

Scout Well said.... IHEA I agree with Badger completely off base. If you take an association like Blaine at Bantam last season had a AA team, An upper B1 and a Lower B1, and a B2 team. If you look at the records the upper B1 team was strong in district play while the lower team struggled. With the ...

SEcoach...i agree with you for most of your points... too bad this is how things have progressed and or developed. One could then argue why even have A, B and C levels? Why not just have 10 random teams for an association?

Towel: Let's qualify your statement, "...alot of Wayzata parents [that think their superstar would be in the top 15 Pee-Wee's] wished they would have only had one A team last year so they could have tried to dominate the season and win State." The rest of your post is utterly ridiculous. ...

Sure why not, we all know the egos are too big to make two even AA teams. Kudos to Wayzata for doing this last year I guess showing class isn't for everyone  A lot of talk from Wayzata parents is that they wish there wasn't two even teams last year....seems to me they wouldn't mind ...

Looks like your hope for the Trojans to lose twice to Woodbury is a fart in the wind.

I'll take Trojans 4-2 over WBL in the final and WBL #2 seed backdoor. Let's see if that one lingers a bit longer
