I like the Lake Minnetonka idea at Maynards - it is where they play the North American Pond Hockey deal (the red-headed stepchild of the Lake Nokomis pond tourney :D ) However, when I've been to that area of Maynards in Excelsior, it seems like parking would be a real issue. Scheduling an outdoor game in the metro will always be risky without artificial ice. A rink on any of the lakes could be a big puddle on a warm February day. Phalen Park has artificial ice outdoors as does North Dale and Palace Playgrounds in St. Paul. Where else are there refrigerated ice systems ...

How about Hill vs. WBL on White Bear Lake? Since they can't beat Hill at Aldrich, the Coliseum or in their own shed, it's gotta be worth a shot.
