Assuming WBL beats Hill, I would imagine the following would be the seeds: 1) Minnetonka 2) Edina 3) STA 4) Duluth East 5) WBL 6) Centennial 7) STMA 8 ) Lakeville If Hill wins, I would probably put Centennial at the 5. Don't think it matters which Lakeville team wins and assuming Centennial and East...

Section 2AA Final Seeding
Here is the final seeding for section 2AA:
1) Minnetonka
2) Holy Family Catholic
3) Prior Lake
4) Eden Prairie
5) Chaska
6) New Prague
7) Chanhassen
8 ) Shakopee
I would think Tonka would have preferred to play PL in the seminfinals (hard to beat a team 3x in one season). Thoughts?

Edina needs it more and they're at home. Plus Tonka is looking bast the Hornets to Saturday in a game that determines who has ownership rights to Lake Minnetonka. I think I speak on behalf of all Tonka fans that wins over Edina feel a lot better than wins over Wayzata. That said, Edina wins tonight...

Re: Hopkins/Lake Conference
Each game is worth 4 points instead of playing two games for two points a piece. Frees up schedule space for other Lake teams to play non-conference games against higher ranked opponents, and allows Hopkins to do the same against more commonly skilled opponents. Each of the other Lake teams play ea...

Re: Hopkins/Lake Conference
Does anyone know why Hopkins only plays each Lake Conference team once this year? They are still listed as being in the Lake but with only half the games as the other teams, it's (obviously) impossible for them to win the conference. Each game is worth 4 points instead of playing two games for two ...

I find it funny that Wayzata, a team that finished the regular season 1-3 and a team that nobody picked to win the section (just check the prediction thread), is now the favorite to beat the No. 1 seed and No. 2 team in the state, a team which has lost twice in 2013, once in a blizzard. I'm not say...

This situation really stinks for Tonka fans. Instead of two full student/fan sections, the community is going to need to choose which game to go to. The best case scenario would be to switch the Prior Lake/Bville game with the Tonka/Wayzata game. That way, both EP and Tonka will be able to see both ...

I saw on Twitter that this game is rumored to start at 7:30 at BIG. That would be a bummer because the Girls State Championship is at 7:00 and Minnetonka is expected to be in that one as well. Everyone was planning on going to both but I guess that's not feasible anymore. :( Regardless, it will be a...

Minnetonka's biggest rivalry is with Edina. There's something about those two conference games that brings an extra intensity and level of fan participation year in and year out. They're neighbors and are in the same Conference and are often the two teams duking it out for the Lake Conference title....

If there are no surprises in sections (not likely) and all of the top seeded teams end up making it, which one would be the most likely to join the 1AA and 8AA representatives as the other unseeded team? If all the top seeds make it to state, it would look something like this: 1) Hill Murray 2) BSM...

On the girls forum someone pointed out that BSM had 5 games against teams that made State and outscored those teams 27-3. Whoever comes out of 6AA on the boys side should have an impressive record against teams advancing to State from the other sections as well. Actually, no. Not sure who will adva...

Eden Prairie at Edina (2/16/13)
Should be a good game- doesn't have any section or conference implications but it's always a fun battle nonetheless.
I see EP winning this one.

What was such a good game for two periods ended being a rout in favor of the Skippers. EP scored the first two goals despite being heavily outshot by Tonka, but the Skippers came back with 6 unanswered goals. Tonka goes 8-0 in the Lake Conference and certainly has a ton of momentum going into sectio...
