Re: A & AA Section predictions

Incongruous ... positive statement about kids playing while calling the very process by which they are "gunning for state titles" a joke. It isn't a joke. It is a rationale process by which a geographically diverse representation arrives in St. Paul to contest for the state title. Enjoy th...

Re: A & AA Section predictions

Good luck to kids across the state - ... whether your team is going to cherish any wins you can get this year, or gunning for state titles - thank you for letting your fans watch you play! I hope one and all has a great season - make some memories! Yeah, thanks ... but, just don't have the audacity...

Re: High school programs #s in Elite league

The easy way to solve this issue is to go back to one division for girls hockey. * * * If anyone would miss Andover 7 - Farmington 1 ; Edina 7 - East Ridge 0 ; or Breck 11 - Mound Westonka 1, I apologize. I, for one, would miss Breck 2 Fergus 0; Proctor-Hermantown 3 Lourdes 2; Fergus 4 Lourdes 2 - ...

Looks like Mnnstar's source had some bad info on the goalie(s). The list is up (not including alternates):

It sounds like your issue is equity between the districts/sections.

How does the 29 compare to the number that tried out for D2 HP14 in 2016? Was there still interest/participation from those who tried out and were cut at the 14's level?

Do you think it's an issue we don't have closer quarterfinals in girl's hockey? A few years back the boys had a tournament where all 4 underdogs upset the favorite. I just can't see that happening on the ladies side as almost every quarterfinal is strongly slanted towards the top couple teams. The ...

Huge upset? QRF, Krach, LSQ all suggested a relatively even match-up.

Re: POLLS, GAME NOTES and COMMENTS

The LPH poll came out today... *** Again - It looks like The AA rankings seem to fall into place by wins and loses a bit, not by SOS, or god forbid any other reliable imperical type of data to reflect talent. The A rankings are just wacked to the point 500 teams, or a game over 500 still gets you a...

Brainerd would be a top 5 team in the state if they did a true A team. They would be equal with Roseau and would battle for state. Their split team just lost to Roseau 10-0. Is that a fair reflection of "the story" to date? Seven games into the season, and the other 6 games for that "...

So look at all the girls we've identified so far. Imagine if they were all playing U14/U15, or in some instances U12. This is a large number of middle school girls playing high school, and I don't think it's going to stop. There are a lot of high end 02/03s going to 8th grade next year who will go ...

Was a little confused on how they do the roster sizes on some of these teams. On the full teams you have 4 lines of Forwards and 3 lines of D. On non full teams you have 3 & 2 OR LESS. Why? One other small complaint/regret is that it feels like they could do the match ups a little better. Like ...

What is the purpose of this change? What are they trying to achieve. I think it is to allow the high school coaches an opportunity to build their JV programs with younger players and give them the freedom to cut a 10th grader and that 10th grader will have a place to play. Should be good for both. ...
