Section 1, 17s had players make the roster who were never at the tryout, hmm wonder if they still have to pay the 80.00 tryout fee.

They all did from section 1, they always have. I'm not aware of any from other sections that didn't make it.

Section 1 would be higher if you take the Shattuck players out. The talk is that the Shattuck players already have a spot on the final 54. You have to wonder how many spots are even available and what the process is? If the players are being evaluated why aren't they given some form of evaluation on...

Re: Reebok HP 16s - Tryouts/Rosters

Section 1A/AA is over - I can't find any info on Rosters/results? Wasn't there, but was told that Something like 65+skaters and 7 goalies (Cha-ching Minn Hockey), with a strong SSM presence. Anyone have more detail? My guess is that Bob Haskins is on the roster. Didn't he coach his son all through ...

Since hockey is considered a late development sport, you would think scouts would keep an eye out for players that are late bloomers. So why is it that players are being drafted into juniors at such young ages?

I had a chance to watch both tournaments this weekend. My take was that the Gopher Festival had better skill level, fewer players per team, better passing support (team play). Exposure seamed a bit more of a grinding physical style of play, some of the players were not as skilled, birth years ranged...

Way to much of ME.. How about finding the guy that passed you the puck!!! You hit the nail on the head. Ok to celly if unassisted but this is a team sport. This past season I watched a senior captain #5 from Owatonna go celly alone in the corner even when he didn't score the goal. Last year he hija...

I think the new jersey should have $ symbol on the front that says SHOW ME THE MONEY, that would really be cool. And on the back of the jersey just below the numbers it could say IT TAKES BUCKS TO PLAY. Nieve parents beware of this guy, he makes a living off of you, very sad.

D9 canceled Sunday's games in the D9 playoffs. Could it be that Rochester Red needed a few days to rest up their players? Will the games be played in Rochester since they are truelly the number one seed and just so much better than all teams. Then again why don't we just cancel all the games and ju...

Frederick61,
The three public high schools are kids made up from the Gold and Black teams, the red team goes to Lourdes.

They should at least have to play each team once, otherwise whats the use of keeping track of league points, fairplay points etc. They are not heads and tails above all the teams.

Each school district is different, you can go to the minnesota state high school league web site, they offer first aid class which some schools require. You can also find job listing there where they will sometimes list the requirements. In the end its like applying for any job the more experience y...

The victims are the other Distric 9 teams that would like to play tougher competition. Its been very tough for any of the dist 9 teams to schedule a game with a top 40 team. I've talked with a dist 9 board member today and he did tell me that they voted to allow the independent schedule and to let p...

There has been plenty of talk around the rinks about how shady this looks. The other D9 teams had no idea if the Red teams were in districts well into January. I say don't cry sour grapes but next year have Mankato, Owatonna and whoever else wants to play a tougher schedule do as Rochester and play ...
