Re: The Hermantown Thread

Rainier, if Hermantown played AA the things you point out would be better. Westie, the poll would be almost 100% saying Hermantown should play AA and for the rare grey duck that says A we can find a few lackeys to carry their water making nonsensical arguments. It's too bad there aren't enough peop...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Be interesting to know how many kids ... moved school districts after they were born. Insular Minnesotans don't think anyone should ever move ever. Great comment. What nearby school district, close enough so families can keep the same house, friends, church, etc., can International Falls attract go...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Most of the 9 transfers or most of the remainder of the roster came in youth? I was referring to the transfers. Looks like all but Callaway transferred during Youth Hockey. Also another Soph from Denfeld not listed on the Hub so looks like 10 total actually. Probably fewer than previous years. Not ...

good report rainier, what was approximate attendance at HMA ?
Not sure, I watched the live stream. Didn't look like many Denfeld fans on the visitors side, which is the only side you can see on the stream. The Rock Ridge game had great attendance, though. 8)

Re: Games Tuesday 12/7/2021

A few notable Class A finals… Denfeld 5, Hibbing 0 Nice bounce back for Hunters This game was 1-0 Denfeld heading into the 3rd; they were up 20-15 in shots. Then the Hunters popped two in early in the 3rd and while Hibbing gave some pushback, Denfeld just kept coming. Pretty even game until Denfeld...

74 page thread and still going strong ! Well done boys !
Shucks, Westy, none of us can take any credit for this pinnacle of human achievement. It all belongs to the cabal of decision makers in Hermantown that keep this farce going year after year! :D

Re: The Hermantown Thread

For most community teams, transfers and open enrollment play a tiny role in the fortunes of their programs, yet it is huge for Hermantown. For all community teams the additions and subtraction at HS level plays a massive role. Not tiny at all. Departures to Midget/Junior hockey, private schools, op...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

They lived in pike lake and twig. Never set foot in a school in proctor. Never skated in proctor arena other than with a Hermantown jersey on. They have both been life long members of the Hermantown community. If you know there story, samberg dad never played hockey and Aamodt never played beyond j...

Also add both Krause boys, Leblanc, Huttel.
Not going back that far. It's generally accepted that the transfer era in Hermantown started with Skrbich, so around 2010-ish.

Both lived in Proctor.

Re: Games Saturday Dec 4

#1 Hermantown 4 Hill Murray 1 Final Hawks best team in state regardless of Class?? Too early but wow they are the heavy favorite in Class A Hard to argue they’re the best team in the state. So why are they still playing in class A? The greed and lack of conscience of a few adults in Hermantown.

So I see Hermantown has East's former goalie.

Anybody know what other free agents they were able to acquire this offseason?

Ely varsity is not exactly a superstar mark on the resume. May or may not make it big. Give the kiddo time to develop. 7AA nor 7A is not going to get excited until he proves himself. He will have plenty of time. Thats how Htown is.... seniors lead, jrs follow, soph sit down and shut up ...and fresh...

There is a HUGE difference in the caliber of teams the tw...

The biggest issue with Hermantown is that the top brass complained that they can't compete with "metro all-star teams" when they were losing to Breck and STA. They act like they are Ely or Kittson Central - a super small town with not a lot of numbers and can't compete with the big schools and ALL ...

Re: Elite player to Hermantown

Heard that a top player in his age group from Ely is transferring to Hermantown. He will be attending an assessment camp in New York this summer. Out of approximately 100 players who tried out he made the final cut of 20. He will be a freshman at Hermantown this fall. Makes sense. What outlying kid...

Well for a Denfeld guy you sure seem to have a lot of really strong opinions about Cloquet stuff that you either don't know very much about but for some reason feel the need to opine on or are trying to play dumb and push an agenda for some reason. I'm calling shenanigans. My question is all of thi...
