Re: 2019-2020 Coaching Changes List

Plenty of drama so stay tuned for the ugly details as they come out over the next few weeks. AD quit over the deal (ordeal). Actual top candidate turned it down. Not sure TE was even in the initial interview process. What a mess. Please elaborate. What have you heard? Thank you. Tough to elaborate ...

I wouldn't sleep on Farmington. Was scouting at the STA game and other than the first period, the Tigers were right there. Top line is very fast and #21 at D was the best player on the ice (for both teams)!

I think he was the assistant at Farmington the last couple of years and filled in as head coach at one point last season. He was only there last year as an assistant. BE Emerson U-18 with Goren two years prior and Achiever Academy before that. He comes out of the Burnsville program. That's all I've...

Another "Better Dead than Red" weekend upon us. Bucky has been improved of late as have the Gophs. I was wondering how long they would be down. Amazing what a new coach can do. (Just ask the Wild!) For sure. Granato has them heading the right way. I know he was always introduced that he was from Do...

I will take an undrafted Tyler Johnson over him anyday! WOW!! You are the best hockey mind in town. You should apply to be a GM in the NHL NOW. Where was that statement before the season started??? Did you even know who Tyler Johnson was? (No you didn't) Oh, I forgot, you know everything! I did kno...

Will Borgen: CS Final Rank 114th / Drafted 92nd overall Great pick-up by Motzko and crew. Kid just keeps exceeding expectations. The Huskies also picked up Jack Achan who is currently leading all USHL defensemen in scoring. They could end up being the best two college defensemen in this class of Mi...

Re: BSM

I heard a rumor that Rooney is leaving AC Wings to attend BSM 2015-16. Can anyone else confirm? Without his parents moving wouldn't he have to sit out a year? I am not sure it works that way if you transfer into a private since they don't have an official district boundary unless MSHSL made a chang...

Last I heard (from one of the coaches) is that BE will be allowed to play Tier 1 for the future. They are just not going to be eligible to compete for a National Title.

I bet Eigner is excited today!! Open the floodgates to the north for the next few years for sure. ?Please explain Not much to explain. Not a great hire (IMO). Good guy, just not what many would look for in a HS program that has to fight to keep kids. IMO, goalies need to coach goalies. I know this ...

This kid has been a superstar since the first day he laced up his skates. He's been dominant at every level. Should have played Varsity as a 9th grader but chose to play Bantam's instead. Great Baseball player and golfer too. I would expect him to play 2 years at North Dakota then make the jump to t...

Re: Oh, wait...

It sure is lucky Tyus' parents had enough foresight to transfer him to a private school to help his development. Oh, wait... Rather than letting him languish at a wrestling school, at least they sublet an apartment at in the Hopkins school district, so he'd get noticed. Oh, wait... Being that Minne...

SSM was 8-5-2 in the Elite league this year so they clearly aren't unbeatable. Was LN's whole team an "elite" league team??? (the answer is NO) No doubt that there is unbelievable talent in MN HS hockey. Just not all on one team like SSM has this year. If you took the top 18 skaters and two goalies...

I've watched Shattuck Prep team play a few times this season. They would beat this years LN team 99 out of 100 times. Nothing against LN, they are a very good team but Shattuck is world class this year and will most likely win Nationals again.

Edina just beat Burnsville 10-1. Does Bemidji have as good of a chance as some people think? I don't think so. Bemidji's best chance is that Edina doesn't take the game seriously. That's a possibility, of course, but even so Bemidji is a looong shot. Best of luck to both teams! I am watching the in...
