Why call it the "Minnesota" Blades then? Why not do something like the Monopoly does when they uses "North America" How about change the name to "North American Blades?" They've never been real good about communication. My son used to fill in "now and then" but if he failed to meet their expectatio...

Re: WBL A Coaches

Some dad with a grudge because his kid doesn't make the A Peewee team his 1st year gets himself elected Traveling Director of the WBL Hockey Association and fires all the A coaches. Including probably one of the best coaches in youth hockey Scott Hambly the A Bantam coach and USA Select 15 coach......

New Cretin coaches: K. Wendell Pohl and J. Pohl. Skrypek will remain on staff. CDH families received a letter in the mail. Poor Jaime Grossman. It was rumored that a "Former women's Olympic hockey player" interviewed for the Eden Prairie job. Don't know if it was true, but some of the girls were ge...

Re: EP

BeenAround, he hit you head on it was well deserved. Your cheap shots frustrate a lot of people...Taz, we all have your back. There are a lot of successful parent coaches at the high school level. IMO that should not be an issue, especially since the EP AD Mike Grant was also a parent coach. My dau...

Was Parker the only goalie from MN? If not, how did the other goalie(s) do? Glad to hear Voltin did good.

I'd say Parker is a lock for 1 goalie spot for the 16's. But I'd say the second spot is a toss up between Dugas, Gerdrs, and Miska. I'd say Miska has the advantage because of his resume. I would go with Gerdes and Parker. Both have been playing the position since Mites and appear to be able to hand...

I'd say Section 6 has the most depth at Forward, but other than that there isn't a whole lot there. Section 5 and Section 1 both have 2 or 3 great D-men, as well as Section 5 having arguably the best goalie in the tournament. With the 95's I see a pretty clear Top 10-15 skaters, with the rest sorte...

I will rate them: 1. Selects - Best talent and tournament 2. Elites - Now that is not the same weekend as state...good tourney, but expensive with cost per player, then a $15 gate fee per fan. 3. Super Series-Great alternative to Selects for those who don't want to drop $500 on hotel in St. Cloud. ...

Hey Dirty Coaches, What happened to your Voltin post. He's a good player but it sounds like you're not a big fan. You made it sound like no one else is either. I hate to paraphrase but it seems like you suggested, good riddance. I didn't remove it. I've always been a BIG fan of Voltin's skills on t...

Re: Last Night

Was he Coaching Last Night against Cooper in their 6-2 loss? It is his SECOND year, I thought with the NEW ARENA COMING (THis is still happening?) This would become a pretty good job. With the Miska brothers back again for next year, they MUST have been very disappointed in the season. How has Hunt...

I think each section is a little different but in my experience I agree that they pretty much know who they want. Just 4 years ago I watched a kid get cut from the district 8 team after lighting up the tryout. One of the coaches kids made it, then didn't even play in the festival. I think the value...

I don't think the coaches should be at the bar at any time they are in a coaching capacity. That would, in my mind, include the entire tourney if staying with team in hotel. Same would be true for a road trip, etc. This is a very valid point. So many bad things could come from this. Let's not forge...
