Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

Hunting, I do not have a kid who plays for South. The parents who called the program out for recruiting are not spineless in my view, they had the guts to do the right thing. MSHSL rules do not allow for recruiting, and sounds like a lot of people at South knew it was happening. Better than looking...

Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

Hunting247, pretending that recruiting doesn’t happen is your choice. Doesn’t make your view accurate. Everyone knows it’s happening and if coaches and MSHSL all look the other way, why not just do away with the rule? It’s stupid, and those who follow the rules are at a disadvantage. Solution is to...

Re: Final 54s and national camp selection conundrum

In case anyone was wondering the seriousness with which MN Hockey is taking this weekend's process, they are asking some of the teams to play back-to-back 46 minute games, and one U17 team is playing 3 games in 9 hours. That is in direct violation of their own participation rules governing rest tim...

Re: 2021-22 Coaching Openings

The count I heard was 11 open enrolled, but I’m not positive on that, and I heard they were all paying him for extra training? A couple are from North, one from St Louis, maybe a Rosemount. If a coach allows the recruitment culture, it will happen and then it’s just not an authentic HS team. Yes it...

If you choose to play on your own like Vis did this year then this is what happens. If you don't want to get blown out be better. This is varsity hockey not u-10. JUST BE BETTER.

The fact is there are 20 open roster spots on the Varsity or JV team every year. there no guarantee you will have a spot on the team the next game or the next year. If someone comes into a program and takes your "spot" don't cry and complain that you are entitled to a spot on the team just...

I think he will be lucky to play 1-2 games this year.

Re: Now that Rosters are coming out - any surprises?

See that there is some discussion about Edina and those that did not make the team. Lots of good players staying away from HS and still with their Jr teams...... Been scanning the MSHL this morning. Seems that EP has dropped a senior goalie. Anyone have any data on Dietrich - wasn't he at Blake? Di...

Re: Bischel

I've been told that Bischel will be back at Benilde this season. I've been told you're the biggest bonehead in this forum. Got real quiet from you after your laughable state tourney rants. :P Who's the hottest JV goalie this year?!?!?! I bet its the EP JV Goalie he's been raving about... wait.........

Sorry about your eye roll. I suppose you would know how and when players peak. Not saying these three are bad players just by no means "horses" maybe if I viewed the world though your rose colored glasses I would see it.... but I do not. . Good thing you straightened that out. I now see t...

Not sure why you'd be a hater. The Minnesota high school hockey model has its cons for sure. I love MN HS hockey, but it is in an ivory tower. Do a little research and you'll see that this program (and others like it) will continue to prep elite players that thrive at the next level. They make thei...

https://twitter.com/YouthHockeyHub/status/759373357741506560 Congrats!? Seems awfully young. He made the National Select 15 Camp and is no doubt a solid 2001 player, but it makes me wonder what the SCSU staff thought was so special that they'd make an offer this early. Time will tell I guess. I bel...
