Duluth East Forecheck

Has anyone ever seen a forecheck with both D and a F stacked across the offensive blueline at the high school level. Also, it seems East's D are not afraid to consistently ice the puck. Interesting style of play.

Totally agreed. Poorly run and more expensive the other comparable tournaments. Our team is done participating in this tourney.

I guess my point is this: After watching both Wolfe and McNeely play multiple times this year, McNeely is a much better skater, passer and hockey player at this point in time. The person saying Wolfe is a better skater right now is just plain wrong. I think Wolfe may have more upside than McNeely du...

I watched both teams several times this season and there is no question McNeely is a much more polished skater and player than Wolfe from Eagan. IMO Wolfe made it on raw talent/strength and needs to improve on fundamentals to compete at the new level.

North Shore, like the southern part of the state, would like to gain some respect.
Please clarify this statement. Do you mean south of the Twin Cities?

Totally agree! The '03 level tournament was a joke last year; merging the invite and aaa levels.

Seriously...thanks you guys. I'm reading between some blurry lines to begin with. The first couple tournies should clear some things up, I'm sure. My '03 knowledge is getting stronger every day. I'm well aware of the Legacy teams...not sure where they land quite yet. TS Last season's best '03 team ...

The point of posting this isn't to debate the legality of the check. The point is this guy's behavior detracts from our sport and ultimately will humiliate his son/family/team. If you read the article it talks about this guy facing disciplinary action from Manitoba Hockey.

The talent seems to be on these four teams and they're pretty well matched.
I'd include the Lake Superior Stars on that list.

The first session had 4 goalies and 27 skaters. Judging by helmet stickers, socks and conversations in the locker room...I'd estimate the choice league had about 10 skaters in the first group.

There were some very skilled players in the first group. Didn't stay to watch the second session.
