I'm interested in what this '04 Showdown tournament hosted by YHH turns into this year. I haven't heard how these teams are formed. Without a true tryout process, it will be more BS to feed the same egos. Hopefully they are more original that taking last years brick roster. I have my doubts The Sho...

After asking the question, I'm now more confused regarding the Minnesota kids at the Brick that didn't play for the Blades..... This is my understanding (and I'm sure I'm wrong) of this year's tourney: Leading scorers for Toronto Bulldogs, BC Jr. Canucks, and Winnipeg Jr. Jets all play summer and/or...

I will say though that I was very surprised nothing on here about the out of state players... Sounds like you or Terry should be able to educate the bored on this one... According to Youth Hockey Hub's entertaining Twitter feed, MN was well represented with their kids on Canadian teams in Edmonton....

Tony/YHH- Keep up the good work! I appreciate and enjoy a portion of the work that you do. I pay nothing for it, nor have I been promised to receive anything from it. If/when you publish an article or statement that I don't find enjoyable or informative, I will ignore it. If/when you publish an arti...

Was the 02 Euro team their full lineup all weekend? Saw them twice and didn't look like what I expected to see. Missing kids? Was the 03 Miracle team the same lineup on Sat. and Sun.? The were 2 seconds away from winning vs. Machine Orange, then were blown out on Sunday. I assume they iced a differe...

Why? Simple. If kids are able to receive the same level of education and demonstrate the same level of results without traditional teachers in the traditional classroom setting, then the public school model should be examined for opportunities to provide something similar. If this works as an equiva...

This article got me thinking. My kids go to a public school in a decent suburban district. I was looking at the daily schedule at the mid-elementary level: Total hours in school day: 6.5 Class size: 22 Core Subjects (Math, Science, Reading/Spelling, Social Studies/History): 4 hours (some specialized...

04 legacy 2-3 /w a couple close losses. Looks like the 04 made teams should have played down a level. In the 2003 division the Machine lost in the Bronze medal game and the Blades lost in the semis for the Bronze medal game. The Gradient selects won the D side Not exactly.... Machine lost the 5th p...
