Brokaw doesn't surprise me. The guy is a real beauty. My son played for him at Providence Academy and he was a knucklehead. If he was mad at a player on the other team, he would tell specific players to go target him and put the hurt to him. I hope no other high school will be dumb enough to hire him.

Feel bad for her? I feel bad for the girl that she cross checked to the head for no reason. I hope the Hill Murray girl can play in the championship

Cheap Shot

Wow. What a cheap shot by #7 Williamson of Edina.
Nice call by the ref to give her 5 minutes but should have
been thrown out of the game.

O'Leary has lost the team. Kids don't trust what he says anymore.
This team is loaded with talent and thus far he has ran this team into
the ground.

His article on Minnesota Hockey titled "The formula for team success"
along with his corny "Wayzata Way" theme is a complete joke.

Best part of Wayzata's team is their defense and goaltending. O'Leary has done a great job molding the defense into solid hockey players. I wasn't at the Wayzata game last night as we were out of town, but it appears Dingman wasn't on his game last night. Wayzata goes to state if Dingman plays well ...

Breck will not be a powerhouse this year. Last year they had an outstanding team that was a top 10 team (Class AA or A). Best team in Class A for sure but couldn't bury the biscuit against the STA goalie at state. STA will dominate Class A this year as they will be very very good. Everyone in Class ...

So you're saying that the Wayzata Asst Varsity coach is maybe the next Scotty Bowman? Now that is funny.

My son played for him in Selects 4 years ago. He thought he was Herb Brooks coaching the 80 Olympic team. Not the brightest bulb.

Why is everyone so worked up about Selects? It's not that big of a deal. My son and his friend both played high school hockey for a middle of the road Class AA team. They never played AAA hockey, never tried out for MN Selects and never played in the Elite Leagues. Once winter hockey season was over...

Nanne was good at 102's in St. Cloud last summer? R u kidding me? I was there and he played poorly and looked disinterested. Kudos to the people picking the final 20 to go to New York for not originally picking Nanne. He played poorly all week. Like I said before, Nanne is a nice player but gets som...

That doesn't shock me. Tyler originally didn't make it out to New York for Select 15's. Lou made a call and Tyler got an at large bid. Go figure. Tyler is a nice player but he gets opportunities he probably shouldn't. My prediction is that Tyler will commit to the Gophers next fall during the elite ...

Halverson?

He isn't even the best defenseman on Wayzata.
Miles Death is a much better defenseman.

Maple Grove rarely loses a player to private schools while Wayzata seems to lose 2-3 per year. Why is this? Kids leave for private schools for a variety of reasons. (ie-kid doesn't like the coach, coach doesn't like the kid, parents don't like the coach, coach doesn't like the parents, etc.) I've he...

The season hasn't even started and the new head coach is having to deal with juniors and seniors jumping ship due to the hiring of the bantam A coach as his assistant. Lots of players and parents are very upset with this selection. He was fired from the Bantam A position because of his violent tempe...
