Re: Watch NTDP vs Elite League this weekend

Extremely talented 16 year old. Pump the brakes on the top 10 NHL pick, unless he has NHL speed/quickness ala Casey. Which from what it sounds like his game might be closer to with the sense, shot, and finishing ability. Brink has all of these skills also probably a good comparison.

Wait...is Smith still coaching EP? In that case, I will go with

1) Andover

2) Benidle

3) Tonka

4) Rosem

5) Blaine

6) Blake

7) HMurray

8) Grove

9) Edina

10) Wayzata

Blasphemy 😂😂! Ranheim actually coaches that team anyway and decides who gets no tryout bids to HSEL.

If a transfer comes to a school, but the school sees the transfer in town before the actual date, does that mean then that the transfer must transfer before the transfer transfers to the school that should have denied the transfer ?

I guess we’ll see how good he is the next couple years when he will only have 2-3 D1 players on each team. Coach em up Curt!

Re: Master List

Thx guys.....clown that is what I was looking for. Interesting list. Heisenberg! Only verbals on Heisenberg though, the list I saw on this bored included players that got decommited or decided to leave to explore other options, when the new regime took over.

Someone posted a “Master List” of gopher recruits. Adds/Drops etc since Motzko took over. I can’t seem to locate it. Any help?

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Yet out of state automatic bid transfers can be coached by affiliated HS coaches? The automatic bid is outrageous enough as these tryout kids have been working their entire youth careers for this type of spotlight league. It probably doesn’t matter to most but I believe it does show rules can be mas...

Re: Eden Prairie vs Blaine

Total Domination! I’m shocked. Blaine looked like the team that played 3 OT’s. This is rare but, kudos to the Ep coaching plan. Even when they were down 2 it still felt like they had a plan and were executing it. What the hell was Blaine’s game plan?

Most Devastating Tourney Final Loss

I am not a historian but from my recent knowledge DE has been on the wrong end in 2 of them in 96 and 11. What are some others you rubes would rank up there?

Re: 2AA Final - Eden Prairie vs. Holy Family

Fantastic Soph season for Drew Holt. Someone had suggested earlier in the year, that he had peaked at Bantams. Both sophs Holt and Mittlestadt have really stepped up their game especially since playoffs have started. They have a chip and a chair And Captain Jack. Mr. Hockey in my opinion.

Re: Ex-Wayzata F Griffin Ness commits to North Dakota

So awesome. Seems like a lot of older guys committing to top tier programs. For all the hype around the early commits at age 14-15, there's still a place for the standouts at 19-20. I don’t understand this one. This kid was a top player from day one. Speed Grit Scoring. Just an all around great hoc...

Re: Minnesota Hockey cut-off dates

So a January 1 date would basically push up about half of second year Bantams to High School, correct? I would think the number would be much lower than that based on kids being held back a year starting school for hockey purposes. Also, with this eliminated that number would drop over time hypothe...

Re: Minnesota Hockey cut-off dates

The only non arguable, that will take any gripes out of any policy would be Jan 1. If it is arguable to anyone I’d love to see a debate on this. Of course everyone has their bias but how can birth year be debatable? The argument is non existent in Tier 1. I'm not sure what is arguable and non argua...

Re: Minnesota Hockey cut-off dates

I lived away 25 years, so I'm not totally in the loop here. My understanding is that BOYS born in July & August were encouraged to wait to start kindergarten. Girls being more mature weren't waiting. Since there are so many summer babies, the July 1st date was used to track school (actual start dat...

Re: Hockey Day in MN

Does anyone know if Andover and Minnetonka have to play both goalies during the game? If so, advantage Huskies! It's not required, but more of a gentleman's agreement between the coaches in HDM games that everyone gets to play. So much for “gentlemen’s agreement”. Hats off to Manney for getting bot...
