21 fan buses from Buffalo, might need a bigger venue. I wish there was a different format where we could get the best 8 teams... Agreed. It sucks when you bring in these communities that are so happy to be there people come out and watch the game. Eastview had an outstanding crowd today wit...

Sorry to be a buttinski, but I just had to interject because it's pretty funny.

Interesting concept -- this would actually be a geographically larger section than going North/ South twice over -- and would you do the same for class A? I think a chance at having two north at the risk of none is always better, but maybe not. Class A is very different because the percentage of sc...

Gerrymandering: a guy named Gerry created a voting district that looks like a salamander to favor his own political party. Sleazy, slimy, dishonest, lazy, corrupt, hypocrite politicians have been using this tactic for a couple hundred years--so how could the MSHSL resist? I have to believe when they...

Section 6 - strongest in state by far for the umpteenth year in a row. Just a little nitpick here. One thing that bugs me about girl's hockey is that the fans have such short memories. It's because they only follow the sport for 3 or 4 years while their daughters play and then they're gone from the...

So media coverage is dictated by teams that have an organized press effort? Often a paid communications position. That's called fake news. Oh come on. Nobody is expecting hard reporting on this site. Pretty much just feel good stuff, and any exposure of the sport is good, isn't it? Send in your own...

If you'd like to write a story about your team and send it to Hockey Hub I'm sure they'd be happy to post it. Uh no. Not everyone. Not even close. I would hope that if there were valid concerns jeopardizing her future with the program other than the $$, that 1) her termination wouldn't be the first time she and her staff are hearing about it, and 2) the school itself would expand on these issues publicly i...

From Brad Elliot Schlossmans' post: Privately, many in the athletic department have said for years that Miller is very impossible to work with. She has alienated a number of people there. So I read the story. Here's a quote: "Some parents warned their daughters would leave the program if Sauter remained the head coach." That's the exact moment when the AD, Joel Olson, and the Principal, Steve Massey, needed to say to those parents, "Don't let the door hit you, or your ...

Last year was the first time that I know of that Junior Fest was held on the weekend, and it clashed with the 2nd OS Prospects weekend so it was not well attended. That would be the reason it was moved back to the weekdays, which is good. Now "all the top players" can do both again.
