[ The main adjustment the Gophers have made in the last year or so is they have focused recruiting more on smaller forwards with elite skill. The types of players that have the kind of skill that could get to the NHL some day but maybe not the prototypical size to leave college after a year or two. ...

Congrats to Benilde. They got the job done--and did it with style. They have been through a lot this year--at the beginning they looked like a disorganized mess. But they pulled it all together, and no doubt Jack Jablonski's injury played a key role in getting them to rally together and go win a ti...

Yeah, not sure why Wally Shaver was ever let go in the first place. I'd take Wally back in a heartbeat over Matvick!

Lou Nanne is one of the most knowledgable hockey guys around. Absolutely love listening to him, he gives fantastic insight. As far as his bias towards Edina I can forgive it and understand it given that his two grandsons play for the Hornets. It's hard to blame any parent or grandparent for being a ...

Gophers do not have big players coming in, but highly skilled offensive players that display better puck control than the current roster... Kloos and Connor Reilly should be solid to good scorers in college. Maybe not right away but in time. Lucia was smart to spend wisely on forwards for the 2012 ...

I see a recurring theme on here that Nate Schmidt has come into his own this year and improved a great deal from his freshman year and the hope seems to be that Marshall makes similar progress. However, there is a fundamental difference. Marshall has played in 35 of 37 games this year while Schmidt ...

I just wish channel 45 would put the drawing on it's website. Or MSHSL could put it on You Tube. Then the conspiracy theories would mostly end. Channel 45 blew the wrestling finals tonight, it rarely worked. I hope they get it fixed before the hockey tournament as this was an embarrassment for the ...

Besse best by far? thats a little over the top I don't think so, watch him play he dominates every aspect of the game. He is willing to block shots and be in good position in the D-zone. Way better at that aspect of the game than Kloos. Besse is a great player, but shies away from contact a little ...

I think who deserves to be on it are: F Kloos F Besse F Hurley D Gross D Schurhamer G Franke Connor Hurley is the only one who I have not seen on previous posters list and am sure he won't make it as he is only a sophomore, but...

I would also not rule out the possibility that the state high school league wanted to be sure it didn't "insult" teams by seeding them last as part of why they only seed 1-4. That seems exactly like the kind of thing they'd do (sort of like how the classes in high school football have to be named 5...

Hats off to Park. The got an early goal and were hanging on for the better part of two periods, although the play was in their end most of the game. Eagan's depth showed through in the third though with several goals from the top 3 lines. Hard to believe that fourth line didn't do much again, huh? G...

I am not impressed... To me he is another big goalie... Alot of pucks hit him because of his size... I have not been impressed with his performances I have seen... Can anybody offer any insight or shed any light on what the relationship is between Don Lucia and Mike Guentzel? It seems as though Guentzel was the scapegoat in 2008 when he got fired after the Gophers lost in the first round of the NCAA tourney. Now, after they've failed to reach the NCAA's the la...
