Re: wow what a sports day

It's old news now, but that Hoffarber shot in the Hopkins hoops game ranks, in my book, with the Miracle on Ice as one of the two of the most amazing things I have seen in sports. One was an amazing team effort and the other an amazing individual effort. I'm not sure I'll ever see anything to beat t...

Re: Keith

Keith calls it like it is, cuts through the BS and doesn't pull any punches. For the kids who are dedicated and work hard he's a great coach to play for. For the kids who have a chip on their shoulder and want to slack off.....you may want to try another program.

Re: mr.h

Lee deserved Mr. Hockey. Nisky deserved to be in contention. If it makes you feel any better Niskanen and Lee were the two first Team All-state defensemen. That tells you how Niskanen was regarded statewide.

Re: Think about it more

I'm not surprised at the reaction I see hear. It's an emotional issue. I think the topic deserves some discussion however. This could be a bad idea but it's not immediately obvious to me that it's a stupid thing.

The point of the bill is to encourage MORE participation for students through i...

Re: Won't happen today!

You're joking right? Schools like STA, AHA, Blake, Breck....don't have youth programs to begin with. They don't develop any players so by definition they don't lose any players. All they do is recruit from other district's youth programs. They are the problem. Sure open enrollment has added to the p...

Re: slapsnotbg!

Moorhead was outcoached! AHA bottled up the Spud forwards in the neutral zone and Moorhead never changed their approach. They should have dumped the puck in deep but the Moorhead coaching staff was too stubborn or stupid to make a change. Moorhead had better talent, but AHA had a better game plan an...

Niskanen

Lucia and Guentzel wanted Niskanen to play juniors instead of his senior year of HS. The big mistake was when they told him he wasn't good enough to be a Gopher coming straight out of HS. Sandelin wasn't that cocky so Niskanen will be a Bulldog.
