I think that this game will come down to depth, which I would give Eden Prairie the upper hand in. They have been getting scoring from all their lines, along with great shutdown defense and goaltending. I think Besse and company (his line) will need to produce at least 3 to win this game. I'll take...

However, EP is still a team I don't want to play in sections. I'm still holding to my EP over BSM upset in the 6AA semis if they end up 1 vs. 4.
EP gets smoked 6-2. Looks like they are having issues.

Re: the real issue

Whether Baer should ultimately play in the WHL is not the issue here. He contacted his coach on Thur to say he would miss Fri practice. I believe he also told him that he was visiting Vancouver to watch a Giants game. The coach then told him that going could affect his continuing relationship with ...

The reason that Pauly was upset was that the EP player held Lawton's stick. After Lawton let go of the stick, the EP player broke it on purpose. Lawton retrieved his stick and then was not allowed to change as EP had already changed. That's why he was upset and called the timeout so that Lawton cou...

I thought this was an excellent hockey game, the final score really didn't indicate that the game was a lot closer. SSM outshot BSM 30-17 and that's with BSM getting the only power play of the game. The major penalty was questionable, maybe a minor, wouldn't even been a penalty at higher hockey lev...

Re: 6AA projected seeds

BB Seeds as of 2-2-13: 1) BSM - could drop to #2 with an Ep loss or Tonka sweep of the Lake Conf. 2) Tonka - Could move up to #1 (see above) =D> 3) Wayzata - appears to be locked in for the #3 seed 4) Ep - Could move up to the #3 with wins over BSM and Wayzata 5) HF - No more chances for this team ...

7-5 final BSM. With about 2:30 left in the game, a HF player was called for kneeing Besse. On FSN, the angle wasn't great, but the way Besse's legs flew, there was definitely knee to knee contact. I will defer to the other posters here as to whether it was accidental, a cheap shot, or somewhere in ...

3-1 Tonka. They easily carried the play for most of the game. Without Dingman it would have been ugly.

The outdoor games should be classified as exhibition games. That's true for any poll as well as by the MSHSL. Why?[/quote First of its a great event and should continue. The reason it should be an exhibition is clear. The conditions at hand I.e warm weather bad ice or what we saw yesterday complete...

Is it common for the losing team to not remove their gloves for the post-game handshake? Some teams are being asked to keep their gloves on because of the flu. Do high schools not teach their students how to wash their hands now days? I believe its tested on the ACT exam. 8) Do you think there is s...

HSHOCKEYWatcher- your analysis was brutal. Zone play was 50 50. Sprang let in 2 soft goals early, Benilde had double the scoring chances. The no goal was not put in by another player the initial shot hit goalie glove and went in. I don't like to complain about refs but this was one of the worst off...

I would be surprised if STA keeps them to 1 I would also be surprised if BSM holds to 2 goals. I have BSM 5-3 with an open net.

Blaine is looking quite weak this tournament, losing to Burnsville 2-0 and losing to Minnetonka 4-0 at the end of the second period. I have not seen them play prior to this week. They must've had the game of their lives against Benilde because I do not see how this team could've beat them. Blaine p...

Alec Baer was out with the flu, sounds like Moore has a shoulder issue. He dislocated his shoulder at state last year, no clue if it's the same one or not. Moore took a hard hit against AHA last week and came off with his arm hanging limply. He played again later, but I can't help but wonder if he ...

Re: BSM @AHA

Not a fan of either team in this post - but to say BSM 3rd line would be 2nd line on most teams is funny - as they could barely skate........ That must be why they got paired with HM's first line numerous times. I don't think that was a coaching error. Didn't see that game so can't comment - did se...

Don't get me wrong BSM is a well built team, they have many skilled players such as Besse and Naas. But your over looking the talent of AHA. If AHA shuts down BSM's first and second line, this could be a real surprising game. Where the real battle lies is back on defense, AHA has skilled defense me...
