Curious why the weakest Section in the State gets so much attention on this site. Luverne is like Red Wing of the late 90s. They have a good group of kids right now and play in a very weak section. Of course no one as good as John Pohl. They will have a 4 to 6 year run and then be done.

I think they should get rid of the current conferences and use the sections as conference play. It would make seeding for the playoffs so much easier. Play every team in your section twice.

He had a lot of talent at Blaine which he had nothing to do with. None of his players seem to get any better in their high school careers. He wasted a great group of players the past two seasons.

Defense and goaltending sucked this tournament. 1st or 2nd shot of almost every game went in. Eagan goalie looked decent otherwise most of the goalies looked awful.

My favorite 4 days of the year. I have been to every tournament since 1980. Started going then with my dad when I was 10 years old. The priority year for my tickets are 1969 when my dad first started getting them.

Coaches almost perfect for Class A. All 1 and 2 seeds in the finals except for 3A is a 1 and 3. A few "upsets" in AA so far.

Oshie was born in Washington. He has family in the Warroad area. He is somehow related to Henry Boucha and one of my all-time favorite North Star Gary Sargent.

1 or 2, doesn't really make much difference. Plan is to meet each other in the Championship game at Amsoil. Not playing for home ice advantage. Last change not a big deal.

I vote for None of the Above. Shepherd will most likely win it based upon his entire high school career. His stats are right where you would expect a good goalie to be; not a great goalie. He is the best goalie in a very mediocre class. Minnesota does not produce great goalies.

Old goalie I agree with you on the old Forest Lake Arena being very cold. Elk River sucked with the metal fencing instead of glass. It sucked hitting that.

Stick, I will be at the Heritage Tournament all weekend. No elite teams, but should be some good hockey.

I seen Shepard play a few time last season and once this year. He has not impressed me yet. Duluth Marshall this year. 6 GA on 27 shots. Creates a lot of work for himself with his lack of control of his rebounds.
