Congrats
Congrats to Drew and St Cloud State.. I'm a U of M alum but you have to respect what SCSU was able to accomplish in the post-season and what Lablanc was able to do, coming back from a terrible injury. With only 13 goals (7th in nation in pts.), I wonder how much his scholar athlete of the year award...

If DeBoer had this happen to him that makes 2 kids I know of...so basically the player was good and got noticed at the great 8....2 years ago another kid this happened to, and another last year both are now playing D1...basically, it does work. 2ndly the name game does occur, sometimes directly fro...

School's represented most on Ted Brill & MN U18 teams @
School's represented most on the Ted Brill & MN U18's teams @ CCM Though I realize a number of top kids skipped either the Ted Brill or HP18's, I still thought it was enlightening to look at total kids from various schools that will be competing on one of the two teams in the CCM NIT later this ...

Greatness
394 nailed it...............not even close. Put Moore and Labosky on either side of Johnson and you would see similar results. Did Besse get a D1 scholarship as a sophomore? Didn't think so. I think Besse is an outstanding player, but Johnson is just as good. Besse is 124 in the NHL scouting rankin...

Ted Brill Can Make All The Difference - Nice Story from USHL
Ted Brill Can Make All The Difference - Nice Story from USHL With all the kids skating in the Ted Brill tourney I often have wondered if anyone really gets noticed.. Well I was down south for a weekend of USHL action and ran into a guy with a son playing for the team.. I asked him how the whole USHL...

Unless know which players withdrew from selection consideration hard to say who should be on the team. Players were to provide a completed form in advance of tourney if would be eligible to play in NIT weekend. That aside can see ties to a number of players selected, either that they had a coach at...

Ted Brill Senior Cuts and Final Team Announced
The team was announced today at the hub. Here is the list. Any surprises based on watching the action or from the points board below.. It was fun to watch the line of Lavalle, Jake Jackson and TJ Roo and I see they all made the cut. Connor Thie was the biggest surprise for me (in terms of not making...

The last shall be first.. Let's symbolically give it to BODYSHOTS JR.. Obviously he had some sporting disappointments he never got over and now spends his days spewing out sarcasm while plodding along at a job he hates. Didn't get that one right either did ya. Let's see ego & sarcasm - sounds li...

Anyone heard from Wallyworld.......crickets....... Congrats to Edina on a great game and a well deserved championship. Wish Hill-Murray would have brought more of an effort. Not even close to a great game. Maybe the game has changed, but didn't see a lot of end to end play or plays that took you out of your seat or spectacular saves that leave you shaking your head. Didn't really see a player or two that jumps out at you as a special player. mulefarm..what exactly woul...

Eastview
What I see everyone doing is underestimating the Eastview skaters. Yes Driscoll is a solid goaltender, fundamentally sound, but what I was more impressed with was the overall team play of their skaters. They shut Eagan down, they clogged up the middle of the ice and kept shots to the outside, it so...

historical precident
The more I look at this forum post it seems like the overall consensus is either an upset or very close game but in my years watching HS hockey (40) it seems when almost everyone is on a bandwagon like this you often get a game that isnt even close... Same with when you totally count a team out (see...

Hill Fan
Hill Fan As a Hill fan I was hoping that we would draw LVNorth or Moorhead rather than Eastview because the one thing thing I hate is a hot goaltender i.e. 40 shots on WBL for 1 goal in section final or facing Moorhead's Bitzer last year.. I see that if you throw out the one bad game that this kid h...

WBL?
As a die-hard, & vocal Hill fan I wish I was as confident of a Hill victory as most WBL fans are about their team coming up short.. I just don't feel good about this game at all. Maybe it's because Hill hasn't played a top team for awhile and real competition is now frightening. I actually felt ...

Wally, I heard Joey is available for Prom. Now is your chance..... Nope must be a Junior boy at Hill to go to Prom... I was talking with a friend last night about the forum and he reminded me that most posters are probably teens and have IQ's slightly higher and these posts just confirm that....

And the weak part of the schedule had nothing to do with it.... That's where you go off the beam. Lechner is a good coach. He's not going to take a 15 year old and insert him during Hill's tough early scheduled. He waited for a stretch where he could groom him against softer opponents, and roll his...

Wally, I heard Joey is available for Prom. I saw the change with Joey, I saw the result from the 1st game, and predicted what was going to...

Vindication
Vindication:) Excellent points Bogeyman about Slattery & the power play as well. I know i've been accused of blowing Brown's horn too much but I would like to see Lechner try either he or Joey on the power play (actually Brown had been on the PP last year and as starting C on 1st line earlier t...

More evidence
As I said in my post last week, sectionals would continue to reveal the rise of Hill's second line since Joey Anderson came up which also totally revitalized Willie Browns game. I gave the stats of 1st & 2nd line scoring comparatively in the 8 games before and after Joey came up i.e. pre-joey 8 ...
