Re: Key player injuries 2019-20

Limesand is a very skilled goalie positioned to be on a very successful team this season. He has been fighting an injury since clear back in the beginning of the HP Section 6 tryouts day 1. He battled for 10 minutes and left the ice. It was my understanding it is a groin issue. USA Hockey continual...

Re: Seidl brothers featured on Today Show

Until HS tryouts? No #s assigned... Well...that'd make sense since only a few people seem to know that they're older than what is listed on their birth certs. :D I'm surprised the board let that dad back in, got booted from the arena for a season, plays the race card and winds up in Stillwater afte...

Side Note/Question: Any updates on U of Illinois going D1? I have a relative who has been pushing this for years if not decades. His kids played for the Chicago Mission AAA. His view is Title IX is preventing it, along with hockey isn’t very popular outside Chicago...... the hockey joke is you coul...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Been said by multiple high school coaches that often goalies have a bit of an adjustment period after playing in HSEL once season starts. Their game can struggle early in HS season because of it. That strikes me as counter intuitive--help me understand. Are you saying that because EL goalies are se...

It's this coming weekend...the NTDP U17 team is in town, they do this every year. The NTDP games this weekend are on Saturday and Sunday and they are not against a HSEL all star team, it's the two teams at the top of the standings: Power and Mpls St. Paul Magazine Thanks fellas. Also, doesn't Owens...

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey

Doc Holiday I think MNMade does an excellent job in early development.Their choice Mite league in really good for kids starting out. Plus it takes the pressure of associations who are already hurting for ice time. Most associations pile 40-50 mites on the ice for 45 minutes of babysitting. The trai...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

I'm confused, what HSEL teams playing Tier 1 teams like Blue Army? Kids had to tryout for HSEL (well, some/most) and Blue Army is a lot of STA kids. What are the two intermingling? Seems off given the number of HSEL teams that they'd need to go outside the league. It's basically like an A team play...

Re: Will Curt Giles ever get his due?

I'm willing to bet that Curt doesn't care if he gets his "dues". Seems to enjoy what he does, stays above the fray in regard to parent drama (which is impressive inside the bubble) and every time I see him in public (with or without family) he just looks like a guy who wants to be left alone.

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey

Pee Wee Quebec is wonderful, no doubt. It's more than a hockey tournament because it is in large part a vacation. Consider that when comparing to others. A friend grew up in Quebec and now lives in South Florida. Schools are off that week in Quebec, so kids aren't sacrificing that. He was puzzled h...

Specifically how are some associations "covered" by yhh.com in a way disproportionately with the coverage you think yhh.com should instead be providing? fatcat,

thanks for your opinions.
and thankfully they are only opinions...

And if you think YHH is making a ton of money, I say God Bless them... They deserve it.
You must have missed the part where I gave them credit for finding a niche market and cashing in on it?

There's a few bitter whiners on here that are a bit tweaked because their kids or associations haven't had enough success in HS hockey. Free market is great isn't it? If there's a market and people support it...great. YHH does what they do and they do it well. More people get pissy and have issues ...

Re: Moving to Minnesota for HS Hockey

It is a bad thing because of the tension it creates in the community. No player moves in to a particular community to play hockey unless they have been promised something by the coaches. The parents in the community know this and it makes the coaches out to be duplicitous a-holes, because while the...

I heard the other day of a high profile goalie that was shopping around late this spring. Now plans to make a move from a small powerhouse to a big powerhouse on the west side. Corneia to Edina? Correct I don't know if I'd call it shopping around though, she lives in Edina and for the most part the...
