Re: Jackson Blake

It’s clear you don’t know how some of those players ended up at LVS. The 4 Farmingtom players have played with LVS kids in the summer for years and decided on their own to transfer because Farmingtom was such a mess under coach Marsh. As for the Apple valley goalie, well he got put on the bantam C ...

With all of this hand wringing in regard to EP recruiting kids / transfers I wanted to get everyone's thoughts on Lakeville South. You have 3 kids leave Farmington who are currently on the LS Bantam AA and 1 other kid who is a 9th grader who left Farmington for LS varsity. You also have a kid who w...

Re: Jackson Blake

Great Question "Fat Cat" on the Ellings kid. To my understanding the twin sister is still at Providence, and the family lives in Bloomington. How is the Busby kid eligible at Eden Prairie after playing in Colorado last year? Not sure on Ellings but Busby has been all over the place chasing somethin...

While we're on this transfer topic....

Can someone explain how Ellings was able to transfer from Providence to BSM as a junior? Did parents move out of district they were living in?

Heard from a good Source Limesand could be out for the season possibly. Dealing with some hip problems. Hopefully he is ok. Where do you hear this BS. Your not even accurate with injury. He is good to go. Hey Minnsscout- Wondering wihere Limesand is? I thought you said he was playing? Mt info is no...

Re: 2019-2020 Coaching Changes List

I just got the word he may not be done also. More to come. As far as four freshman recruited. Do you know that a lot of Freshman at all privare schools are recruited? that is how their student body is made up. Besides if this is true and someone was cut, maybe just maybe they were not good enough t...

Griswold leaving Holy Angles reported by YHH
Any word on why? Timing seems.... odd.

Because the pitchfork brigade went to admin as they were pissed that he cut their kids and kept 4 freshman whom were recruited.

As I now appear to be a bookseller in addition to a forum moderator, I'll also put in a plug for YHH's "The Jersey Product 2020," which will devote a page to every current HS program in the state. YHH photographers will be chasing down pictures all season long, and those of us on the podcast crew w...

Re: Minnesota Article on Eden Prairie

Fat Cat Smith is paid $6000 to win? So let's make a mockery out of high school sports like the NBA? Summer camps = $ If he doesn't win the parents with pitch forks are running him out of town. Obviously the vast majority of EP doesn't care what he does as long as he wins. Most of the whining here i...

Re: Minnesota Article on Eden Prairie

We can get upset all we want but nothing will change. Smith is paid to win, not worry about lil' Johnny's feelings being hurt that he gets cut because a kid moved in from the east coast and took his spot. Smith has lasted this long because he wins, the parents and school board don't care how he achi...

Re: Key player injuries 2019-20

Limesand is a very skilled goalie positioned to be on a very successful team this season. He has been fighting an injury since clear back in the beginning of the HP Section 6 tryouts day 1. He battled for 10 minutes and left the ice. It was my understanding it is a groin issue. USA Hockey continual...

Until HS tryouts? No #s assigned... Well...that'd make sense since only a few people seem to know that they're older than what is listed on their birth certs. :D I'm surprised the board let that dad back in, got booted from the arena for a season, plays the race card and winds up in Stillwater afte...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Been said by multiple high school coaches that often goalies have a bit of an adjustment period after playing in HSEL once season starts. Their game can struggle early in HS season because of it. That strikes me as counter intuitive--help me understand. Are you saying that because EL goalies are se...

Doc Holiday I think MNMade does an excellent job in early development.Their choice Mite league in really good for kids starting out. Plus it takes the pressure of associations who are already hurting for ice time. Most associations pile 40-50 mites on the ice for 45 minutes of babysitting. The trai...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

I'm confused, what HSEL teams playing Tier 1 teams like Blue Army? Kids had to tryout for HSEL (well, some/most) and Blue Army is a lot of STA kids. What are the two intermingling? Seems off given the number of HSEL teams that they'd need to go outside the league. It's basically like an A team play...
