Re: Single A Top 20 - Preseason
Is everybody from Warroad returning? I was very impressed with them, and they should be better with some champs off the Bantam team.

Re: 2019 Class A state seedings
MN River can play a pretty gritty game pretty deep in the roster. Not making any claims for their upset chance but if EGF plays their shut down win 2-1 type of game MN River might be able to stay in it and play that way with them. We’ll see , maybe I’m wrong and North Vs. South will blow that away,...

Re: Class A State Seeding
It'd be neat, considering the superintendent of Greenway came from EGF.

Re: TRF
It just seems weird to have a #66...
Also, I know some schools/colleges have traditions surrounding certain numbers. I was just wondering if there was a similar tradition with #66.

Re: Grand Forks Central
Contrary to what many think, GFC isn't a big school...only 1000 kids, so roughly the size of Orono...but they would undoubtedly opt up to AA. They have the ability to be pretty fantastic... I wish they played Moorhead, too, but alas. They run 4 lines, all game, albeit against most inferior competiti...

Is Loven injured? He is listed as playing in only 3 of their 6 games and he has zero points. Despite the high number of goals given up, its not as if the shots were 50-20 in those games. If Loven gets back on track and their goaltending improves, they should be just fine come playoff time. Loven ha...

"6. 11 2 0 266 244 22 1.6 .917 3 4.00" 13 games 22 goals given up would be 1.69. Must not have played in all 11-2-0 games. 4 GPG @@ goals allowed that would be 5.5 games. That would be less than 300 minutes. Not in the running with so few minutes. My criteria at this point of the season would be at...

Re: Cheating
My response to Elliot's question was based on the EGF bantam team. In 2011/2012 season, when bantams was only one class, EGF went all the way to the championship game at state before losing to Edina. I was just stating that Bowen and Tweeten were not on that team. They were already playing for the ...

Re: Class A Rankings 11-23-2014
4. Warroad (0-0) The Warriors may be second fiddle in the section, but they return two pieces of their 252 point line from last year as well as their tender. Loaded with a typical Warroad schedule, the Warriors will have more than enough opportunity to be the top seed in their section or top seed g...

With Bethune leaving Warroad, 8a will be a cakewalk for egf this year, even if Roth stays at Warroad. TRF will be very, very weak, and no one else has a chance. Unless some "new" faces show up at Warroad very quickly. Again, lol. It's funny how one player is/was able to change the thoughts on the s...

I'd disagree with your ND players comment karl. I can think of kids, from most, if not all, section 8 teams that would have been just as good, and in some cases, better picks. I see no reason why, if they want to be in the league, they can't form their own team, as other states have. As to the GP t...

Classy move by Oliver...gave his medal to 3rd string, senior goalie. Kid not on the varsity/dressed ? Nah...he dressed most games this year...don't think he played. Didn't dress at the tournament. I think it was simply a reward for sticking with it...even though Lieberg and Weber were the clearly t...

Yep...I thought Warroad took it to them...those 4 dmen were clearing everything and everybody from in front of the net. The Green Wave really wasn't able to develop much offensively. Warroad forced them into a lot of turnovers, and was really able to generate a lot of quality shots on Weber, but he ...

First off, every single one of these "recruits" is a joy to watch. Say what you want, but if you can't enjoy watching that line from Warroad, or Yon bulldozing his way to the net, or watching the Lovens mix it up in the corners, you don't love hockey. They all show a great deal of pride in, and resp...
