Track & Field
I think track & field is much more than "athletic activity". It is probably the purest form of competition. No politics, no blown calls, no coaching blunders, no lucky bounces,......in general the fastest, highest, and furthest WIN in every event, every time,....simple as that. Very refreshing to wa...

Irishman, I see your point, and I have thought the same about 5AA in recent years. They play all games except the Championship on NHL ice (Breamar and BIG). In recent years, the faster team (usually AHA) has won the Section on Olympic ice (Marriucci). When AHA hasn't won, they haven't been there, th...

Where's Red when we need him?
Red (Purple Pride) McCombs made a few dollars in a few short years as Vikings owner. I wonder why he isn't offering to contribute? It is his former team he was so "proud" of that "needs" a new stadium. Is the metrodome falling down? I thought it looked fine last time I was there.

Now the Goph...

Speaking of offensive,.....
Thunderstorm22-You may be offending the English in your use of the name Thunderstorm22. How about changing to Anishinabe22 so as not to risk becoming "abusive and hostile". It would set a good example, too.

Of course, I am a Joke!
Renegade-Yah, I joke from time to time, not this time. I would expect a silly response from a cidiot, not an out-state guy, especially from up North, near Canada even. I thought you played hockey (or are you just a window guy, with a trailerhouse). Now, that one was a joke.<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START ...

Skating
Skating may be over emphasized. Don't get me wrong, because skating is very important. However, the best players have good hands and can utilize there stick to pass, puck handle and score, especially in tight quarters with little time. There isn't much exciting about open ice skating.

Hockey is to be played on an 85' wide rink where players more often have to come up with a move(s) to get around players rather than speed around. Re: Bigger Than Belief
The point in post #241 is not about the time a coach puts in, nor about the impact of a coach on players. It is that the degree of a coaches impact on players that some are willing to give that is obnoxious, not to mention unrealistic. And that some coaches are willing to accept credit for their pla...
