Final 6-3 in favor of hawks..

Good thing brown pulled the goalie to let in that last one. Good performance from the Cards.

My favorite chants seem to come from Section 216. Last year they weren't as good as in previous years. But most of the time they don't disappoint. I have no idea who they are, but they do amuse me. 4-5 years ago when I was in high school it was a group of players from North Metro, then filled in wi...

Question for Luverne people: Is this upswing going to be sustained for a couple years or is this THE group? my question is deeper than just who is on the HS team right now, how is the future of hockey in the area? particularly Luverne? I'm sure this has been covered in the past, but if you would pl...

""Luverne comes in there with an attitude of "bow to the king" like that and they will be on running time fast. The teams that beat them come in knowing they are better than them and keep the intimidation factor to a minimum. Otherwise it's over in the 1st period and the Hawks ca...

Made the trek over to Marshall this afternoon to see which Tigers would prevail. From what I saw: Marshall has one solid D(13), the refs weren't watching the same game I was, and Campion prevented it from being a much worse score. Marshall is looking like the LEAST physical team in the state, they d...

this will be ugly right away. Within ten wouldn't be bad. As long as there isn't 5 goals in a minute they shouldn't be too dissapointed.

Crazy how these teams ended up in the Final. Yeah Yeah, the section is the weakest it's been in ten years, still gotta give all the boys credit. They earned it to be in the final. Can we just skip to the second round of state though?

you heard it here first, tigers win 3-1.

Any predictions on the Marshall vs New Ulm game??? i think this game comes down to Marshalls D. They will be the deciding factor between a 3 goal loss or a 1 goal toss up. im predicting New Ulm's attack will be too much for Marshall. New Ulm 5 Marshall 2 Agree, Even though New Ulm has lost so much ...

Not a chance, will be a few years when the southwestern teams have a slight chance to win a game at state. Hutch was the closest a few years back. Southwest section talent is way below what it has been the past five years. Whoever makes it out on top will be lucky to keep it within ten against the ...

Great game down south tonight. Got the urge to drive and see this one. That arena in Luverne is a hard atmosphere to play in. Never heard a high school arena get so loud when Paukett(spelling) was playing. Good win for the Tigers tonight. Hutch will be be stronger these next few games. Worthington l...

hmm. That's why Worthington lost 9-2 is because of one penalty by a goalie. Don't kid yourself people. Luverne could've got all the penalties and still win. And I agree, sounds like an odd group of officials! And what happened to Marshall? Heard they let the prodigy from Windom walk all over them. :...

Coach Mellentin I know has been with Marshall through Pearson and another previous coach. He's always got the D on track. Gonna be tough with not as many strong players. Marshall looking to be a sleeper in the section. Pearson is going to be hard to replace.

Practices around the section start today. Should be an interesting year, section is overall down from the past few years. Litch returns from a disappointing season. Redwood could possibly get some suprising wins. With a few returning upperclassmen that led their team in points. Wouldn't be suprised....
