IMHO.......The reason they leave 1AA alone is because they hope that it will help build hockey interest in the communities with less thriving teams. If rochester kids continuously see STA for example go to state from their section and their beloved high school team never get anywhere, why the heck w...

even though the pictures are great and give an idea of how close it was...i dont know how you can 100% justify that it was no goal IMO. Do the photos show the puck cross the line? no. but what the photos also dont show is where the goalies blocker was when he knocked down the puck and also where the...

Great job from whomever took those photos. Doc Holiday...I agree with you, that is a weird spot for a puck to be sitting in the upriught position if it came from the crease area and not behind the goal line. It was my understanding that the goalie did get it with his blocker, which looks clear from ...

Was at the Edina/Jefferson game and it was probably the best game I have watched all year. Jefferson played amazing but couldnt score on two 3rd period power plays, both inside 10:00 left in the game. Edina goal was a tough call, but here is the thing, there was a goal judge and the light went on. T...

Immigrant Fan...you are almost right. I had a perfect view of it. ER player that was chasing down the GR player went down trying to make a play. When he was trying to get up, there was incidental contact from a GR player on his way to celebrate. When the ER player tried to get up a second time, he a...

Once it gets to 10-0 they might as well just call the game off... You cant just sit your top two lines because its over early in the first. you need to keep playing all four lines so that the kids stay focused for their next game that is typically only 48 hours away. I understand the score is...

I think it would be hard to put a team like Hermantown or Duluth Marshall into AA. All it would take is a few bad years and that would probably lead to kids wanting to attend elsewhere because of those bad years and then you have a snowball effect and those teams become average AA schools in the lon...

Tenoverpar...thank you for clarification. I kind of sensed that but was not quite sure, my mistake. For clarification between AAA and Prep, they are two seperate teams. i do not know what the difference is in terms of qualification for nationals and all that jazz, but i do know that Prep and AAA are...

Tenoverpar - i dont really think you can claim that BSM and STA did a better job of recruiting based on 2 exhibition games. There is nothing more you can really take from these games other than its great entertainment, because MN high school and USA hockey are completely different. Different styles,...

Not to take any credit away from BSM as they earned that win and definitely outplayed Shattuck, not to mention are a great team in general, but how much can we really take away from this game? It's kind of one of those games for Shattuck where if you win, no big deal you should have. If you lose, it...

Bowhunter....i have noticed you like to complain....maybe you can start volunteering your time and start keeping score! Let me fill you in on how it works....save percentage means nothing. is it nice to have a high save percentage? sure! but if you are good enough to play for the gophers, save perce...

inthestands....i think you have made the most valid point in this thread topic. in order for this game to change for the better, it is going to take a lot of change from everyone involved. a good point you made was the fact of how few respectful players there are in this game, and that is caused fro...

First off, it is pretty hard to teach play anticipation at this point. In lower level games, its hard to anticipate because there are typically more turnovers. in higher end games, either you can read plays or you cant, and the only way you can is by learning through experience. Secondly, i agree th...

Always a good tournament, but also will be a good test for all 4 teams. 3 games in three nights is not easy at any level. Will be interesting to see how good Edina's 3rd and 4th line will play as it will take more than two lines to win 3 in 3 nights. This tournament is always difficult to predict an...
