Masalla those Marshall uniforms look like leftovers from the movie Tron. Rocket i don't have an opinion on Marshalls coach other than he always looked like he needed a shower. Why did he leave? Maybe they'll close the program down and the silver spooners will go back to public school or Hermantown t...

if it was you would you of really stayed if it was your dad who got ran out? HAhahaha upchuck fan. Typical response from parents now days. When the going gets tough, tell your kid to quit and just move. Duluth must be really mean to run out 7 dads. And I'd never name a girls name on this for...

False! PHM did no recruiting. Fake news!! OK Johnny Trump. You're like a parrot. Hermantown boys and the Mirage has been recruiting for years. Like I said you even tried taking a couple of our girls a few years back. Did those 7 girls move into the district? No of course not. Now that the silver sp...

Hermantown has been doing it for years for both girls and boys. The mirage team a few years ago had 6 or 7 they stole from Duluth. A couple of forwards a couple d and their goalie. They tried to get one or two of our girls from Cloquet too. That team went to state and Duluths team went to the outhou...

Couldn't make the game, my job hours have changed. Still peek here and there, last year of my all of my nieces and nephews playing HS hockey. I'll be bored after this season. From what Iheard the proctor and my lumberjills are pretty close. Marshall is still on top as they beat Proctor twice in a ro...

"Proc-Herm is the most talented and deepest team in 7A this year" That's funny! They lost Kero, Stafne, Hoff and Halverson. Those 4 made 99% of their scoring. If you look at their stats, they don't have anyone coming up that can score. Their top forward this year Hykus had 7 goals last year. They ha...

My Jacks can finally compete. The switch to A was smart and needed to keep girls hockey alive in Cloquet. Hermantown isn't the queen of the north anymore, especially with their embarrassing loss last year to the young Marshall team. Expect my Lady Jacks, Hibbing and Marshall to fight for the right t...

I love that Super said it was a mistake. He's full of it. Courtney wanted to switch and every parent I spoke with said so too. Now maybe we can start building up the youth program again. A realistic chance of our girls making it to state finally. Marshall will be good. The Mirage lost all of their g...

First question is whats wrong with them having their own tournament, winner plays public champ? Second thing is look at the cost of these schools. They are around $30 thousand per year. That includes lunches. Do you really think that any parent who enrolls their kid in that school with the hopes of ...

Thats a joke. The oldest argument in the book. Public schools don't give under the table financial aid. Open enrollment attracts kids from a nearby neighborhood. Privates draw from a unlimited area. Don't try and justify it. Privates had their own tournament deal until the high school league got pay...

Cloquet is trying hard but isn't going to go anywhere. Our goaltending is up and down and we lack a 1-2 scoring punch like we've had in past years. We really made a mistake by not going to A. Girls numbers are dropping up north and won't get better. Duluth is terrible and could possibly lose their p...

I just heard hermantown lost two of their best players to injury so that may have had something to do with their beatdown along with a inexperienced goalie. We can call it the great northfield bank robbery again? Can't say it hurts me to see the St. Paul Silver Spoons get some. It looks like things ...

Rumor has it hermantowns top forward and one of their top d is both out for a lot of the season with torn knnes. Anyone hear different? Plus we sniped one of their best coaches! With them on the IR and they graduated their last years top scorer and goalie it might be a rough season for them.

I didn't think the high school season started for another month. How about posting 16u tier1 news that most don't care about somewhere else like on the youth page? They can play with the big girls in a few years.

Marshall routinely at state? LOL yesh sure. Maybe if they start filling those new dorms with internationals superstars. If not sorry. Boys went AA because they can't compete with Hermantown at A and can't recruit anyone good. It's the last gasp. Their girls team is young, but won't be a factor despi...

Another private school advantage

I read that Marshall in Duluth has dorms now and is trying to bring in players to fill those rooms. Call me crazy, but hasn't this gone far enough? Boys are playing with the big boys now and got their buns handed to them. Girls are trying to resurrect a dead program but is still struggling after ste...

Foil is right. coaches get cut because of losing. Sometimes because of playing time from a primadona. The usual suspects behind the firing are parents complaining to a AD. Its funny when parents expect coaches to teach their kids "life lessons" while they teach their kids all sorts of bad lessons, l...

Hermantown is nothing but a bunch of posers. Give me a real reason for them not to move up. And not because they have a down year now and then.
