Re: The Hermantown Thread

It’s truly amazing the level of self-absorption that exist in Hermantown, MN. Just sickening to read that post by HHawks4ever... wow

Re: Class A Tourney w/o top 3 teams

Rainer, it’s clear and obvious that Hermantown is killing hockey in the north. Maybe, and a distant maybe, a miracle like 2019 Greenway will happen again but Hermantown has a clear advantage that no other team in the state has and it’s obvious and a disgrace to the game of hockey because it is killi...

Transfers 2020-21

Does anyone know how the private schools in AA will be next year or who they have coming in?

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Everyone makes sense here except you defense. You dance around questions and can’t give a direct answer, while others arguing against you, have. The whole state seems to see how obvious it is that hermantown should move up but you and you have had no good argument supporting them staying in A that m...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Here is the point. Hermantown has climbed to the top of this class A mountain 2 times in 11 years. Have comb one step from the top 8 times. The other times they got very close to the top! What is left to prove on this class A mountain? Nothing! The only proof here is that Hermantown is a 7a problem...

Re: 1996: Duluth East/Apple Valley

It also was fun because it was the upstart program who's best player had his dad as coach, which happens around the state from time to time and those teams reach new heights, against a power at the time that was taking the reigns from Jefferson as the team to beat. Spehar was already a legend. And ...

You trying to get Moorhead to move down to single A? Good luck. They like to compete against the elites your attitude won’t work there. Stay in Cloquet

Re: 1996: Duluth East/Apple Valley

Looks to be a goal even in this video the puck goes below cross bar, delays (hits rear bar) then shoots back out

Surprised goal judge didn’t flip the switch

I used to do stand up comedy, actually. The CEC program knows I am an idiot. I’m a passionate fan, and those kids are the best. I’m trailer trash to the program so no worries. I’m a clown.

Re: The Hermantown Thread

wow- I understand the arguments for Hermantown to move to AA, as has always been my stance I encourage them to do so. What I am against is the underlying reason for everyone wanting them to go which is that they are successful. And not so much that they are successful, but that all the other teams ...

Cancelled or postponed? What if the outbreak is under control after the weekend or later, would they still run the tourneys the next weekend or just flat out cancelled?

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Bruce Plante said it himself about STA many years ago. Hermantown Hockey today is exactly what Bruce Plante was complaining about and they’re worse than STA, way worse and it’s not even close. They’re on a whole new level with how blatantly obvious it is. Plus they clearly have the kids brainwashed ...

Re: 2020-21 Early Rankings: SWEET SIXTEEN

Just take H town out. They can’t opt up next year. It will be year 2 of this opt up. So at best they can opt up for the 21-22 season. Thanks! My apologies. I thought the cycle was for redoing sections this year. Look at it as an all-class then and add ST. CLOUD CATHEDRAL to the list affected by gra...

I’m with ya Joe. Can’t understand why people don’t like order like how the rest of the world is on time. Not sure if basketball tourney is on time but if it’s not I’d be mad if I had to wait through another game when I could be making money

Re: State Tournament Times

I’d say that reflects how poorly the league is run. Every other league starts on time. You’d think with tv they would have to do all they can but usually the 11 and 6 games don’t even start on time.

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Hey people don’t lose your common sense here. It’s not bullying for crying out loud. It’s simply the same as an NHL team playing in the Calder Cup playoffs. D1 college playing D3 playoffs. And that makes Hermantown a disgrace to game of hockey. Don’t care what their school size is since that don’t m...

Re: Official Seeds Are Out!

Question on Championship Day Saturday: Do you need separate tickets if you want to attend both the Class A and Class AA title games? That appears to be the case, as both the Hub and my DVR guide show the A game starting at noon and the AA game at 7:00pm. My AA tickets, however, show the AA game(s) ...
