Re: NAHA

I hope you don’t mean Randy? My kid would run through a paper sign at the start of a football game for him. He’s truly a cutting edge coach all the promoting on social media, building the program from nothing, calling coaches on our girls behalf. Rumor I keep hearing that he is in line D1 job proba...

Hockey Day MN reruns on Saturdays (talkin bout mostly girls games...)

Has anyone been watching the Hockey Day MN reruns on FSN the last couple of Saturdays? I record them on DVR and then can fast forward if the games are not that interesting (like one a couple of weeks back with Stillwater & Tonka (I think). Discuss anything you want about these games. I will start: T...

Re: Quarantined training...what are people doing with no rinks open?!?

Heard from a friend that his daughter (and her summer squad) skated last week at Dakotah Ice Arena. They had some rules set up about entering/leaving the arena (zero loitering and home dressing) and no parents were allowed in. A very socially distant/aware practice of mostly individual skills work w...

Lifetime Fitness has some pretty awesome FREE virtual classes...from strength to yoga...most hockey players I know (like my kid) would benefit by being more flexible...the yoga could be a great add on to other options 2x/week.

All camps have been outright cancelled or "postponed" but I don't have high hopes that they will proceed at any point. It's worrisome from a recruiting standpoint...She had a very successful HS season but a lot of the east coast coaches don't get the chance to come to MN during the HS season so she...

Re: Quarantined training...what are people doing with no rinks open?!?

We bought some products from SnipersEdge about 5 years ago. We bought a tarp, tiles, and the passmaster along with 100 pucks and set up in the basement. https://www.snipersedgehockey.com/ The passmaster is the least valuable of the 4 items but has been used some over the years. In order buy the tarp...

Maybe good dryland activities that don't involve needing a net? Great idea! Lets share some things that your kids are doing during this time at home. Feel free to post links, podcasts, workout plans, shooting programs (I know shakes asked about not needing a net but we can expand this some from his...

I know that this is a HIGH SCHOOL forum but there are people all over the place that lurk and post here. Here is our (my kid's) story in a nutshell and it will lead to the recruiting conversation.I started my time here when my 2020 HS grad was in 7th grade and asked for help deciding if she should p...

Re: 3 Privates & EP walk into a pub

Arguably only Sabre had a relatively easy path to Varsity at Edina and he has been a Blake kid since elementary school. I have heard that Dexheimer more or less was told that he had very little shot to play at all for the Varsity the rest of his HS career. He looked to move somewhere that he had a c...

It's "all about me", that's why. 100% accurate. I can't tell you how many mites in our association are playing at MN Made. Mites. To be fair, Mites is the best (and probably only good) time to do MN Made. Depends on the association. I am not familiar with ALL associations and their development but ...

With two smaller private schools in game 1 and a ton of other games tonight - I don't think it will be that packed - even though it is a great match-up. Also - attendance the last 3-4 years hasn't been what it was 7-8+ years ago. There used to me a line a mile long - now you can walk right up and g...

I think that the Halverson sisters (8th & 12th and 57 regular season points) from Breck are EHA alumni as well. Also fairly sure that Pettygrove was a Hopkins school kid who played most or all of her youth for EHA so most likely was not gonna be able to play for EHS.
