Re: The Gentry Academy Thread

A little outdated...I did a some research a couple weeks ago. On February 8th - 106 of the team's 153 points were from Minnesota kids. 6 out of the top 7 scorers are from MN. Many of the kids that appear to be from out of state have family connections to Minnesota. Gentry is what you can kids are a...

I never read greybeard's posts...my choice......but maybe, the compulsion to post helps greybeard...cathartic in some way...it's not as if the postings are wasted paper, just wasted time...easy to skip and no harm done..

Re: The Hermantown Thread

What is this about Hermantown baggers becoming the favorite. They have and will be the favorite for next ten years with transfers and getting what they need from other associations. Nothing has or will change in 7A. Class A hockey is dead! Thanks Hermantownbaggers. Let me guess the Elite team exper...

Family autopsy shows the opposite. Yeah, unfortunately, we don't have corroborating opinions about how to interpret the results, which ever way the results pointed..this is the least desirable result... Didnt know about the Moorehead situation...crap.. Hey, on another subject, anyone know what is bei...

All this rioting and chaos. New report came out from autopsy. No structural damage or trauma to indicate inability to breath. Check it out on WCCO! To be clear, the preliminary autopsy report noted lack of evidence of physical asphyxiation,......but noted restraint, underlying health problems, and ...

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

Raising taxes to fund high school sports when our communities and local businesses are experiencing shutdowns with 20+% unemployment is likely not realistic. I think it all depends on the community, of course. And that’s the beauty of a referendum, the property owners decide. You’re talking about a...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Here is the point. Hermantown has climbed to the top of this class A mountain 2 times in 11 years. Have comb one step from the top 8 times. The other times they got very close to the top! What is left to prove on this class A mountain? Nothing! The only proof here is that Hermantown is a 7a problem...

Re: The Hermantown Thread

Yes then the mighty all star team of Hermantown would be recognized as such. Not community based but an all star team that was built from all corners of section 7. And about the recruiting. When parents of Hermantown kids try recruiting and can list all the c-chip games, the coaches willingness to ...

Not sure it’s a great idea to post this guys records online. The more I think about it, the more I think that what you’re doing is kind of pathetic. I did delete, however it is public information. You can have those feelings and that is fine. You don't believe the should be a level playing field? I...

You could say Hill Murray lucked out too then! ?... Since they seed 1-5, with 4 playing 5.... He's saying Hill Murray lucked out that they didn't base the seedings on QRF. If they did, Hill-Murray would've been in the draw for Edina/Andover/Tonka. Now I get it....Why any league would use the QRF fo...

Re: AA Goalies Over 90% Saves For Reg Season

With 41, does that make a 90% save percentage just above ordinary...in other words, has the bar for good goaltending been raised? Think about it, if you see 30 shots(10/period), translates to 3.00 goals allowed,

Re: No northern team makes the tourney this year

I understand the concern, I get the point. But I do not believe it is a correct answer. Adding another class, to me waters it down even more. Actually, a third division does the opposite...We have 149 teams now....best way to split would be 6 teams/sec in top 2 divisions...this gives you 2 division...

Re: Association not allowing privates on top teams

With all the bleating about community-based hockey, this certainly flies in the face of that.... Look, a simple solution to this: All private schools should be allowed their own Mn/USA association for hockey...any kid, regardless of where they live, could play ...even if they don't attend...yep, tha...
