Re: AA Betting Odds Game

The game: In this game, we are picking who is going to win the state championship. Each user gets 100 fake dollars to play with. Users can pick one team or all eight, but may not exceed the $100 cap. The user or users who win the most fake money will get a virtual high five. Below are the odds to w...

Re: Fluid AA Offseason Top 25

Maple Grove feels like last year's version of Andover, where they lose a ton of seniors and people think they'll fall quite a bit, but they're so deep that they don't fall nearly as much as expected. Unless Totino is bringing in A LOT of talent, I think they'll struggle. They lost too many seniors a...

Re: SECTION GAMES Thursday 3-18-2021

Maple Grove gets the No Class Badge for the night. 20-0 is excessive. At least now I have a team to route against. They have to keep playing hockey and shooting the puck. It is more embarrassing to your opponent if you play keep away and don’t play the game. I watched the 1st period and Coon Rapids...

I'm fascinated with stuff like this, so thanks for posting.

Minnhock.com appears to be taking the year off of their pagestat rankings. Is there any other source that does in-season computerized rankings for MN HS hockey?

Re: 2020-21 Early Rankings: SWEET SIXTEEN

There seems to be a pretty strong correlation between how your top bantam team did 3 years ago with how they do as Juniors/Seniors.

So looking at the Hub's 2017-18 rankings, Centennial is #4. And they've added talent since then. Have they lost kids off that roster, too?

Cloquet is #7.

Re: Association not allowing privates on top teams

I'd be willing the bet that if you surveyed the parents of the top 10 AA bantam players (the kids not on the bubble), most or all would want "bantam AA first line Johnny" on the AA team even though he's a 9th grader at Holy Grace High School and their kids are going to the local public hi...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

It all depends, I think they are both good players, should have been on HSEL as well as a couple others that IMHO got snubbed. Some guys only like the points guys, they (CB) didn't have many in HSEL tryouts, but noticeable. So many forwards... guys have their favorites. There's D that to me were ro...

Obviously a petition to move down, but it isn’t like they were completely overwhelmed in AA.
yeah. that's odd. PageStat only has 8 teams above them at the A level this last season. 3 bantam teams in the youth level.

B1 vs A hockey

Obviously, there are individual PWB1 and BB1 teams that are better than individual PWA and BA teams. But if you took a very good (top 10, but maybe not top 2 state-rated) PWB1 or BB1 team and had them play 20 "A" teams (a mix of good "A" teams and lesser "A" teams), how...

With over 50 teams I think the District should suggest that the larger associations all field one or two C teams. Makes no sense that there are only 4 teams of 50 playing C. Larger associations weren't the problem. Andover, Centennial and Elk River all had Peewee C teams, Becker-Big Lake was only &...

what happened with Eden Prairie on Wayzata's first goal? They self-imposed a 5-on-3 power play, then gave up the goal on the side of the missing player. Confusion on the bench?

Anyone have any insight into the attitude that D10 apparently has towards the PeeWee C level? There are over 50 peewee teams in D10, but I think only 4 C teams this year. In other districts, there are more C teams than any other level. Kind of defeats the purpose of separating B1 and B2.

Anyone ever consider shortening the bench IN FAVOR of the weaker players in those games where the opposition might not be able to keep up, or if you're able to get out to a lead? Then at least you can even out playing time a bit.
