As an Edina fan, I would love to see EP pull off a miraculous win. Eden Prairie has lost 18 of their last 20 games to Edina and a championship meeting would be no different.
The truth is, Edina's game against Duluth will likely skate a lot closer than this one.
Lakeville North 7, Eden Prairie 2

Can't wait to see the Northern Power spank every day I need attention. I expect the bumble bees will come in over-confident after an ugly section final and will be schooled by the high skilled Jacks. Your talk is bold and cheap... It's pretty easy to make brash statements about a team that hasn't h...

It's not about practicing on big ice once or twice before games. It's about teams that are very skilled and fast have the advantage on larger, more open ice. I believe Edina would have still beaten Burnsville but the score would have been narrower on regular ice. You can't give a team like Edina wi...

The real question should be who has a chance to take down Lakeville North. Why? Are they the defending champions? Did they strip the hornets of the title? No, but they beat Edina earlier in the season and go in as the #1 seed (assuming they win the section final). Winning a close game at home in ea...

Well we could give a call over to bluelightspecial (best friends and dinner buddies with eigs LOL) and have him ask for ya? I'll tell ya why. When you are a worse than bad team like century and you keep running your mouth, taking cheap shots at guys , running goalie with intent to injure the kid, e...

Obviously the key is going undefeated. If Edina's team last year was undefeated they would be in the conversation, but they weren't. Right or wrong that's just how it is. I don't think I agree. Teams win championships all the time without having the best regular season record or statistical accompl...

I just read this thread for the first time, and although the bickering has been fun, I wanted to ask a question about something people were claiming earlier in the replies... I saw a small argument break out over whether LN going undefeated will make them one of the best teams of all time or of the ...

If LN wins it all, its gonna be critical that they get a 1 seed at the X so Edina and STA can beat on each other Friday night. If Edina and LN both win out the rest of the year and cruise through sections, is it possible for Edina to get the 1 seed in rankings? I would imagine strength of schedule ...

This is 2 horse race. Am I being too generous to St. Thomas? I haven't seen them play but I know that the Hockey Day MN loss wasn't the truest display of their ability and that they have the largest goal differential in state. Anyone else seen them much? Are they up there with Lakeville North and E...

AA Rankings Question - top three teams
I will be the first to admit that I don't know much about this all. I get out to 3-5 games per year. I don't have kids playing. I don't mean any offense to fans of other teams... but doesn't it seem like Lakeville North, Edina, and St. Thomas are deserving of 1, 2, and 3 (with debate as to who might...

First, here are the teams which made the Top 75 three years ago but didn't this time: #75 Tartan--fell to #78 #72 St. Louis Park--fell to #76 #71 Alexandria--fell to #77 Also, Edina and Edina East have been split up. They were combined three years ago for reasons I don't exactly recall; the MSHSL c...

I would play all games except the final game at Ridder. That is a much better venue for the girls as it feels like there is a full house there versus the X where you feel like no one showed up. Playing the final at the X gives the girls that get that far the experience of playing in the big lights ...

I wonder if they were overrated because of their blowout wins against LN and Stillwater, two teams that weren't used to the spotlight. I would've like to have seen them play HM, DE, and possibly EP. Unless there are a lot of departures, I don't see Edina's dominance ending anytime soon. There are s...

So let's run down the line-up ( and correct your Edina math on the number of single A teams ). 1. Farmington (Created some waves this year, will be in SSC next year). I think they replaced Single A opponent Hibbing in this year's schedule. An upgrade in level of difficulty? I think so. 2. Hastings ...

I do have to say, to my surprise, that Rohkohl had alot better year than I was expecting and to win a State title is impressive. I think Lindgren does a good job. But was surprised by Rohkohl. I thought Edina wouldn't make it threw sections. And I will say the Bumblebees schedule was the toughest i...

I get that his stats look great but padding your numbers against an easy schedule seems to cloud the issue a bit. Against the same opponents, Rohkohl's stats look better. Edina only gave up 2 goals to LN but Eagan gave up 4 goals both times they played them. Edina gave up 2 goals to Prior Lake, Eag...

Definitely take out both goalies and put in Shepard and Lindgren. I know I'm being a homer, but Andrew Rohkohl for Edina really deserves more recognition than he gets. He gave up as few goals as Eastview and Eagan during the regular season and the Hornets played a significantly harder schedule. On ...

Didn't watch a ton of LN besides State Tourney, but sure didn't see any depth. That Poehling line was out there over 60% of the game, doesn't exactly scream depth. I'm with you... apart from youth at goal, and the Poehling's for one more year, I don't see them being significant for too long. With a...

I am still giggling about somebody using humility and Edina in the same sentence.
