Hermantown/Warroad

Forgive me if I missed it, but does anyone know if I can stream this game live tomorrow...and where if so?

Re: 6AA/2AA Section Final Coverage

Thanks for the link Ryguy! Glad to see it was the right call after all. So I guess EP did win fair and square 😏. 100% agree with that call against Benilde for the penalty shot. Unfortunate, but the right call. It was looking as if the red knights were going to take the win before that too. Too bad, ...

Re: 6AA/2AA Section Final Coverage

It’s infuriating that a game could’ve very well ended differently based on a goal judges claim. Even tho everyone else in the arena thought it only hit the crossbar. Or did anyone else actually see it go in? If so, speak up! I guess that’s the point of a goal judge. Do rules state that they can over...

Re: Dream State=Dream Curse.

I agree warmupthebus. I can’t believe they are continuing to do HDMN after a kid got bad frostbite this year. Not worth the hype IMO.

HF dumps Tonka

There’s a lot to say about this game & to-be section final. Am I completely shocked HF had the ability to dump Tonka? No. What a disappointment Luedtke had to end his HS hockey career with an injury tho! I think if he would’ve been able to stay in the game we likely would’ve been discussing a di...

State tourney ‘19...who you got?

If you had to put $500 on this years tourney, who’d you pick and why? In a year that there’s not just one specific dominating team I’m gonna take my chance and go with Tonka, back to back! It won’t be an easy trek but I think they’ll end the dream state curse (If you’re not familiar, every team feat...

Re: Brady/Belichick dynamic duos of High School Hockey

The first that came to my young mind is the legendary Hammering Hank/O’leary but westmetro beat me to it! Best combo ever like a good ol PB&J!

Happy to see such a great article about Joe. He seems like an absolutely top notch guy. The way he received his award was immensely selfless & emotional, I don't think there was a dry eye there in that arena. Hats off to his mom and late dad for raising such an outstanding man. And Good luck to ...

Great tournament! First round games, MEH, but after that it was all solid hockey! Happy to see Tonka take home their first title! As said above, the game was just not going Duluth East’s way. Also, a bit back people were giving me a little bit of a hard time for putting Bobby Brink in the top 5 play...

Ha ha! Nope I don’t know him at all. I just truly think he’s a phenomenal player. I can’t say I’d compare Casey’s skating to Walker’s. I’m not saying Casey is a bad skater, obviously he’s good. Just not the best. He had the best hands tho. Now Walker, that guy is the best skater I’ve seen in a long ...

I agree, I do not think it’s passion in any instance at all. I think it’s a reflection of bad character. There are many better ways to show your passion rather than snapping your stick over your knee. If that were my kid I, too, would tell them sign up for overtime hours to pay it off.

I can’t say I agree with Colin Schmidt being a Mr. Hockey Finalist. I think he has great potential but after watching him several times I do not Think he is Mr. Hockey Finalist good. Would love to see Sammy Walker be the first Edina guy to win Mr. Hockey! Not an Edina fan, but I think he’s by far th...

Kids breaking sticks over knee after a loss

I’ve seen this happen several times this year after a loss. Obviously very poor sportsmanship. Should there be the consequence for this or do you think it should be let go? Personally, if I were a coach I’d make my team skate in result of this because I’m not about that poor sportsmanship at all. Wh...
