state of hockey?
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but minnesota is gonna lose this 'state of hockey' title. Minnesota hockey is starting to become way to political for its own good. Look for states like Michigan to take the title soon. The hockey in the other states just seems to be better.

Its my opinion...

Re: level of play?
I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks that the league is not the same as last year. Just seems so SLOW at times.

Re: Hill
I'm sorry, but like I said, there was no real big competition in the silver division (yet a championship is a championship). With WBL, this team is not as strong as the past WBL teams. Other power house teams are also not as strong as they once were.

Maybe my standards are higher, I don't kno...

Re: Hill
The thing with Hill being 11-0, well here is the deal. Look at the teams that they have played so far. They haven't played any real "big threat" team. This is not the same league that we saw last year.

Don't get me wrong, congrats to Hill for going 11-0, knock on wood.

Edi...

Re: Hill/AHA
I'm calling it a win for the future back 2 back champs (knock on wood) 5-0.

AHA will play a really speedy game against hill, and i think that hill will just not be ready for that. They have not faced a team of this caliber yet.

That is just the way i feel, please don't take offense. <p...

Players leaving/quiting
I'm sorry, I should have said leave/quit.

Well I don't know if these names count, but: Mike Scott (thought about leaving, until Dawson left), Matt Guetzke quit because of lechner (don't know how to spell his last name, sorry), Joe Dawson, Owen Collet (either fresh/soph goalie from wbl), Luber...

Re: HM
I'm sorry hillhockey, but its not just one bad instance that lechner has been in that is giving him a bad name. Does anyone remember a kid by the name of Matt Johnson? Sure he might not have been the greatest player, but he would work his butt off for the team and score goals or set people up. Well ...

I'm sorry i'm saying this, but:
Its kinda hard not to be an anti lech guy nowadays. With all the stuff that goes on that conserns him and the hockey program, its rediculous. Re: Hill-Murray?
you can't label a goalie being bad just because of one bad season. Roloson, of the wild, didn't play his best till he came to the wild, so you have no idea whether or not Dawson would have made the team or not. Obviously he was good enough to make a midget team in the MWEHL. As for Mike Scott, he go...

Re: Hill-Murray?
yeah, with 13 seniors, and only about 3 juniors on JV, you have to wonder about Hill's team next year. But of course, that is a year away.

Re: Team Illinois
TI was the best team, and probably still the best team. To top it off, you have to compete with little ceasers, honeybaked, victory honda, marquette, compuware, LA jr Kingk, and so on and so on. I hate to say it, but I don't think that there is a Minnesota high school hockey team that can stand a ch...

Re: I think you'll find that anywhere.
Its probably true the minnesota has the best high school teams, but thats only because minnesota has no midget major teams (not counting SSM). For example, in MI, all the better players grow up wanting to play for little ceasers or honeybaked in the MWEHL and not for their local high school. One rea...

For Hill's goalie Sit. I see Danny McEnaney and Lil flip going at it for the start job (just my opinion).
