Third year in a row that Mr. Hockey isn't headed to the Gophers. I'd like to see that trend pick up again in the next few years. Understandably, a lot of the Gopher recruits are skipping out on their senior seasons, but I'd like to start seeing Minnesota's team start to get Minnesota's best again. ...

I have absolutely no problem with all of those teams being in 6A, but Sauk Rapids got moved out with the realignment. What I am saying is that if they're going to move a team out at least have it be a team that could potentially make a game at the X interesting because I don't see Sauk doing that i...

One thing that baffled me was how Sauk Rapids got put in 5A but all of the teams that actually competed in 6A this year from the St. Cloud area are still there. Now they might look like a favorite in 5A and wouldn't even contend at all in 6A. I understand that Sauk Rapids is slightly more east than...

Jaxon Nelson beat the career 100 point mark before Christmas of this year, as a Freshman. Pretty Impressive. Chaz Smedsrud had 102 points this season alone, bringing his career total to 248. Ill check the list later and let you know. I know Sam Wenner had 102 points this season also. Guessing Kobe ...

This argument has always really baffled me. I don't see how private schools have any more of an advantage of "recruiting" than the majority of public schools in the state. Any public school with open enrollment (which is the vast majority of the schools in the state) can also try to get pl...

Really fun game. There were a lot of big hits and plenty of speed. My only complaint would be that they sold too many tickets. Any reason why they didn't play at the NHC? Can't imagine there's too much ice being used there at this time of the year. Both of the teams were most comfortable at this ri...

The SCC TG game was one of the best in my opinion. Some awesome goals and a comeback is always fun for the fans. LVN and EP was also a great one, but I was hoping EP was going to win it after Spinner came back after taking that shot up high and going off for a bit.

Re: Hermantown

Admittedly I have not seen many HS hockey games this year, and I usually don't give single A hockey any credit at all. But I've heard this team is loaded, and taking care of D-Marshall proves that. I am not trolling, just asking out of curiosity, would this be a top 5 team in AA this year? Definite...

Re: Section 6A Final: St. Cloud Cathedral vs St. Cloud Apoll

Advanced tickets available starting Wednesday at 7:30 AM I believe. I would recommend getting one early too because this is probably the town's biggest high school hockey game in the last decade, if not ever. Any hockey fan from the area is going to want to be there. 7:30 was for students at cathed...

Re: Section 6A Final: St. Cloud Cathedral vs St. Cloud Apoll

All St. Cloud final should provide the town with one of the biggest high school hockey games in recent memory. Due to the two teams involved, the game was rightfully moved to the MAC in St. Cloud. I assume its going to be sold out so make sure you get tickets early. Cathedral slipped by Apollo earl...

I think Cathedral figured stuff out at the perfect time in the season. Coming in with some good goaltending as well down the stretch. I have Crusaders 3 1. Fritz, Neu and Gadbois score but Apollo outshoots them.

I'm taking Apollo in this one. The last times these two teams played apollo outshot then 31-23, however they went 0-9 on the PP. Looking back at some numbers though Apollos PP has gotten much better from the beginning of the year and I think will be able to take advantage of the undisciplined Crusa...

Definitely more than 1st line as 5 players with more than 20 points on season and another 4 with more than 10. Of remaining 4 teams top in season goals scored, 20 more than next team. So others be afraid very afraid. Between Breckinridge, Morris/Benson, Wadena, and Wilmar the team had a total of 80...

4 Orono 2 Cathedral :-k Not surprised. This SCC team doesn't play with much heart. Seems like a group of guys that think they're good because the teams before them were. Replaced solid leaders from last year's team with selfish play. Team doesn't block shots, best players take undisciplined penalti...

I think this should be more of a parental or team issue rather than a league wide rule. If a kid is cocky and wants to flaunt himself, the refs should let him. Just let the coaches, parents, and other team "punish" him if they want to.
