Hermantown would probably not even been the top team in 7AA this year. I think that both DE and ER could beat them if they played and I think that the GR game would be better if GR actually had something to play for when they played. Hermantown follows the same script year after year. Play a stupidl...

FYI - I didn't see East as an upset over Rapids but the other way around that if Rapids wins it will be an upset. Most years I think you ar right but this year I think Rapids has to be favored over East. We hear lots about the "system" that Randolph likes to use but I don't think he has t...

I suspect we won't hear from the STMA dads until next year. They'll make a lot of noise again throughout their easy schedule and then disappear after an unimpressive playoff exit. Sorry for the delay guys - it was a long night. Jeez Trax why so bitter? I personally have no reason to hide and I am a...

Don't see any close games in QFs. The one that is interesteting is Hermantown/Virginia. Could see this going into running time but Virginia could keep it close too. They are the best coached team on the Range and though they don't have the horses, they play smart. Hermantown by 5 At least by 5, may...

Is there even a section 8AA in MN??? Who plays in it??

Just can't see how Rapids can get to state. I've watched them play Warroad (looked average), Cloquet (looked good), Denfeld (looked average), White Bear (looked awful) and Forest Lake (looked average). Only improvement I've seen in their game is the goaltending. Gerth looks pretty good. East has a ...

Both these teams are very, very average at best. Flip a coin. Either way both are just playing for 7AA runner up.......(this outta get you Hounds and Thunderhawk Faithful RILED UP!!) Not at all. What you say is true, sometimes, and other times both of these teams have been on a tear that would allo...

Are we forgetting about Maddies performance in her previous game against East? I think she had over 40 saves, game ended in a tie. Her save percentage right now for the year is .908. I know there is a lot of people that want coach Plante to move is team to AA but interestingly Plante feels his program does not have the depth yet to make the switch despite that fact that have given teams like Eden Prairie a battle. I think Hermantown could challenge East but not sure if they cou...

I would not count out Hibbing!! Maybe the Jackets did not have a very impressive regular season but coach Decenzo always gets his players to play better at this time of year The Jackets always seem to give the Hawks a scare everytime they play (last night Hawks 5, Jackets 4). Don' t forget that Hib...

7A seeding meeting today. Shouldn't be much argument at all about who gets what seed. 1. Hermantown 2. Duluth Marshall 3. Denfeld 4. Hibbing 5. Greenway 6. Eveleth-Gilbert 7. Virginia 8. North Shore 9. I-Falls 10. Ely Maybe a change in 6-8 , but the others seem set in stone. Barring a huge upset, t...

The interesting thing here is that Anoka was mentioned as playing 2 goalies, 1 against the good teams and 1 against the not so good teams so that one of them does not pad his stats by playing the infererior teams. If that is true (and I assume that it is) then the one who is playing the Edina's, LVN...

Ah but you see, Edquist does NOT have super DEFENSIVE defensemen playing in front of him.... The D are good puck handlers, can make the break out pass, and play point on the power play (which are all great attributes!!!) but they aren't shut down D who block shots, take out the guy in front of the ...

I think we need to be careful when we are all calling for teams that are successful to move up. Imagine if Breck, Mahtomedi, Hermantown, Totino, etc all moved up. What a brutal single A tournament that would be. There's already teams that make it to state that don't belong there. It's nice watching...

Was this at home or away? I was at a bantam tourney in GR recently and we played the home team. They called more penalties against GR!!!!! Not one phantom call on us. I have wondered this at both the youth and hs levels. I know that we all think that our team's are getting screwed by the refs. That even though our little angle elbowed the kid on the way into the corner that it was a total accident. With that said. Is there a mechanism for the coaches or ADs to f...

Isn't there a part of the Hermantown "group" (for lack of a better way to say it) that feels a little embarassed to be them? I mean, what do you say to the youth teams? Do your best to get to be your best because we are going to need to have you in peak form to blow out Proctor. We will no...

If I were a Duluth East or Rapids fan I'd start to worry. Cloquet is a legitimate threat to move up. If they win out, which means wins over East and STMA, they have shot at the 3 seed, maybe even a two seed. The 2-5 seedings are really going to be interesting if that happens. Since STMA lost to Bre...
