He was a former Apollo hockey player, definitely not a draft pick. Probably just some friends messing around He also happens to own the account that posted about himself being a potential draft pick. That Theisen kid is the real deal. Heard he's gotten some calls, but he doesn't want to play after ...

My point is that there is more than one way to adapt. You can accept your shrinking market share or try to find new customers. You can be Sears or Amazon. Still think it's the easy way out. Not considering Cathedral as an equal partner in this. They can get players beyond the St. Cloud school distr...

Everyone on Apollo is healthy, Cathedral is without Karki, and Sartell is now from what I heard without Johnson due to suspension No, Johnson was ejected last time they played for a Face mask penalty. With 32 seconds left in the game, Jaden Ludwig boarded Tyler Lunderby who was going for a puck on ...

Was anybody at the MAC last night that has some input on the games? Cathedral 5 Alexandria 2: No Karki in net for Cathedral as he's battling an illness so Levinski stepped in and played fairly well for the Crusdaers. Still are on offensive team that can be vulnerable to a team that can score. Alex ...

Hibbing has the fact that they are not as good.

Should be a close game.

Thats a fair question. My definition of deepest is the Section that has the most teams that would be comp in any other section to win that section. So if a team was to get moved to a new section today could they contend to come out of that section to the state tourn. Did Apollo show a chink in the ...

Dj. We need to make sure we have at least two more than posts about Grand Rapids. Lol. Good hearted banter is proof Class A is not the red headed step child of AA. Lol. Sure only one team gets out of the section but I can't say the 7AA is any more exciting or challenging than 7A. Sorry your offende...

Updated Rankings: 1) St. Cloud Apollo (4-1-0) - What a weekend for the Eagles as they pick up a 4-3 OT win over Sartell, and 4-1 win over Cathedral. They have certainly now cemented themselves as the best team in this section. Lucia and Breidenbach are leading the way up front with 10 points a piec...

Thoughts from the Tech Sartell game. For sartell Spencer Meier is a great defenseman and player barely leaves the ice for the sabres. As well as Keenan Lund easily the fastest player on the ice and led to many chances. Hagstrom kept Tech in this one making a number of very fine saves. Should be a v...

Apollo takes on Alexandria, Sartell, and Cathedral this week. This week should be really telling of how good Apollo truly is this year. If they take all 3 games they should lock themselves in as the No. 1 seed for sections. It feels weird saying that so early but they only play Cathedral once, and e...

Even with the three schools in St. Cloud Little Falls still is not better than Sartell, Fergus, or Alex. And the bantams that move up to high school will be playing against kids 2-3 years older than them who have played at the high school level for awhile. I'm not saying the Flyers won't be good. B...

Re: Fergus vs Cathedral

I was there as well. Thought Cathedral controlled the pace and play the first and third, but flat in the second. Would agree that Neu's shorty was the nail in Fergus's Coffin. I thought this game was at lot closer than the score may have indicated. Fergus appeared to be short on the bench and once ...

Re: Fergus vs Cathedral

Was able to attend the Cathedral vs Fergus Falls game, was a fairly good game back and forth for the most part. Cathedral was able to pull away after a short handed goal to put them up over the Otters 4-3, looked as if Fergus just ran out of gas. Will probably be a different story once Mann and Nat...

Can someone tell us about how bad cathedrals systems are please? Awful. Simply put awful. I haven't seen that many turnovers in the defensive zone by a team of that caliber ever. They are a an all offense team, and they have the firepower to put up some goals, but any team that plays solid defensiv...

1A- Mankato W 2A- Delano 3A- Luverne 4A- Mahtomedi 5A- SLP 6A- Alexandria 7A- Hermantown 8A- EGF Spring Lake Park moved up to AA. Also, I don't get the pick with Alex winning 6A when then they graduated roughly 15 seniors from last years team. I think that section is between Apollo, Cathedral, and ...
