I was thinking the same thing and heard the same thing from a few around me. I can't put my finger on it...maybe you are right, maybe the style of play and whistles is what did it. I have to disagree. I think Alot of it has to do with school spirit, but not all. With everything focusing so much on fairness issues, these bands have to schedule a date to play at each function, regardless of fan base. So the monies alotted for buses, etc. is already spent. KMSP is batting 100%. Remember last years evening game? They didn't even have the player intro's on the TV. Everyone has made some great points on this post. Most of which are 100% valid. One thing we've forgotten is the passion in which kids should be approaching the game. I think it is a bit hard to have that kind of passion when at such an early age you are encouraged to play one sport and excel at it....

highscout, agreed. Plus/minus certainly doesn't seem to be taken into account much. If you ask me, it tells the whole story of whether I want a player or not.
