Re: Which Varsity programs utilize their JV teams well?

Hill-Murray has basically run their JV program as a Bantam team the past few years, with much of the roster filled with 8th and 9th graders. It hasn’t really translated to major success at the varsity level yet, but it is definitely a unique approach, seemingly wanting to get kids into their system...

Re: Early Departures 2019-2020

This isn't quite accurate, look a little deeper and you might find a couple more.... I was only accounting for kids who left early to play juniors, not kids who left for Jr Gold, moved out of Elk River, or quit playing hockey. Ok, still not accurate..... Huh, okay. I'll take your word for it. I tho...

Re: Early Departures 2019-2020

That’s too bad. What kind of team the Elks going to have this year? 5-8 seed or possible 3/4 seed. How was the kids leaving early numbers before the latest coach took over. In this three years as head coach Gustafson hasn't lost kids early at any higher rate than Roberts did before him. In Gordie's...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

Appears Totino is getting a freshman goalie that played the last couple years with Gentry's '04 team. Probably not any varsity impact this year, but the Eagles have a good goalie for the future.

Re: Worst AA/A sections 1-8, 2019

Wait until Marshall drops to A. They’ll put Centennial or Blaine in 7AA. I hope it’s Blaine. I wonder if Blaine would put CEC or Grand Rapids on their schedule. 7AA is wacko metro 7AA squads don’t schedule north 7AA squads. Duluth East plays Andover. Nobody else does in the north 7AA. DEast and Elk...

Every thing sent to me on here is now on the agenda for the district directors meeting in September. All directors have been copied on these requests. Thank you! I'd be really interested to hear the discussions on guidelines for team declarations and what to do with the B levels. Unfortunately a tr...

Re: 7AA 2019-2020

Agreed. 7AA is has more single A programs that want to play with the big boys....... Isn't there only 2 programs that actually opt up in 7AA? Duluth Marshall CEC St. Francis Grand Rapids Duluth East ......could all legally play in single A I believe St. Francis is moving to single A next year.

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

Above is about as full of false facts as I have seen. Incoming sophomore class is one of the largest in years. Last years sophomore class was one of the smallest in years, but that age group has been small since those players were mites. That's completely inaccurate. Last years sophomore class (202...

Urge the 6 posters who were following my stor...

Re: National Championships

Are these competitions in which MN doesn't typically field its best talent? MN fields a team that represents a youth District. So it is not a State team, it is a regional team within the state. And they still go and compete very well at nationals. If we sent down a team that was selected from acros...

April 1 was official start of Spring season, just mentioning it since you both referenced April 6.

Although most Spring teams have been doing captains practices since early March.

Cambridge-Isanti to 5A from 7AA
St Francis and Cambridge drop to class A and Anoka moved into 7AA.
Give 7AA just 8 teams.
Room for H-Town?

Well. Who put a boner in your cereal this morning 😮. Calm down Hulio. I lived and worked in the twin cities for 10 years. We’re you live is irreverent to where you work.
