Re: AA Rankings for 2/11/24

Clavinian tidbit: The Red & Black league, Spring & Summer editions, are compiled of the state's JV and Jr Gold A level players - they have their 'state playoffs' with max 100-125 people in attendance - 95% of which are parents, yet their championship rounds are played where? Re: 2023 Elite League Rosters

Moorhead, the trifecta.
'22 post-season announced Bentz, Gramer and Schiller as tri-cap's.
All cruised for juniors. MH made state out of S8 regardless, but w/ those 3?
Arguably in title game versus Tonka in '23...

Re: 2023-24 Season Transfers

Great pull on Phillips. That transfer occurred in 2012 during his PeeWee years, correct? Played up on 'Var a bit as 9th grader, full season as 10th grader then left early for USHL. Only player who 'transferred in fresh' during HS years was G - Louden Hogg, as incoming sophomore via the AAA circuit N...

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders

CakeScout, What was your assessment of Wolfe? I thought he played very well in the games when he was given an opportunity. Surprised he wasn't used more. As for next year, Sebek is the real deal. Pretty sure he didn't give up at goal at the State tournament and is also at Natty Camp. Sorry, forgot ...

Re: Top 5 Goaltenders

If I had to pick top 5 for this season based on what Ive seen in various venues last couple years, in no particular order , it would be Keopple, Weyandt, Hodges, Hogg, and Clafton if he is on his game. CEC Owen Carlson belongs somewhere in the top 10 Id say. I get that Hogg is pretty good but every...

Re: 2019 HP U17 or U16 Boys Rosters?

My name's Louden. Last week I turned 18. I wasn't ready for it. I haven't done anything yet. So I made this deal with myself. This is the year I make my mark. No, I'm just the victim of a screwed-up nitrogen imbalance. Plus, I think I've contracted priapism. What a blast to the First Amendment! The...

Re: 2019 HP U17 or U16 Boys Rosters?

U17 Camp All-Star Roster 2 of the 4 ASG goalies are MNHS goalies and I think there are 3 MN goalies going to 16's, so there is a stronger group of tendies passing through MN right now Do we get to claim Houg as "one of us" even though he's only spent one season here? I would venture to get t...

CakeScout, check out the early departures thread. I've had the info since early last week but, just haven't had time to post anything. I did see your most recent post. Fascinating...lot going on up there. Sometimes, the best move one can make is knowing when to leave. Hard to do, tough deal. I alwa...

Re: NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings

Anyone got the story on Silianoff? He was 60 in last CS ranking? A little bit yeah...Silianoff is a very, very late (young) 18 with a January '01 birth date, is listed at 5'11" / 170 but in reality is 5'10" and 165 soaking wet (at least from what 2 sources tell me)...so I think there's some lets hi...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

The one thing that gives me pause on Boltmann moving that far is I believe both of his parents are teachers. It is almost certain they would not switch jobs, given how teacher retirement works. So, if it is Boltmann, and "between" classes does mean AA to A, with Statewide implications at the X, set...

Im looking for a solid secondary confirmation on the transfer information. Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

The "between classes" implication does seem he means "between A and AA." And he mentions "direction is unusual" so that would imply a "AA to A" move (because that WOULD be unusual). And he refers to "originating team is a Poster today (meaning a Monday poster). Only team i can guess is associated w...

Re: 3 Minnesotan’s land NAHL All Rookie First Team honors plus other league awards

Didn't Moe receive a 'pursue other interests' notice from Motzko/Gophers over this past winter? Or merely rumor? I believe just a rumor although with their most recent pickups (including LaFontaine and Close), I could see him taking his talent elsewhere on his own accord. He won’t see as much ice t...
