The 12th forward from last years Tonka team made a NAHL team this year.
Who is that?

So I would guess another loophole is if parent puts them in a facility, without getting "caught"?

Re: Serious question around HS players and drugs/alcohol

So not like any other season, I have heard of a few players, from high profile commits to role players, getting in trouble or being placed in treatment programs/DUI's/ etc.. How do or should these be handled by the programs/HS league? Do off-season out of school issues face consequences? I am not l...

It's true, heard from reliable source Langenbrunner is going to EP. Too bad for Cloquet
EP worse than Holy Family this summer, and that is saying something.

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

EP is a top 3 team now in my opinion. May be a Mr. Hockey Finalist. GB Agreed. Huge get for an EP team that was already considered a top 10 team but had some questions on depth. This helps alleviate that concern. On a sadder note, is it just me or are the out of state transfers getting more and mor...

Re: Early Departures 2019-2020

He’ll now disappear into the large pool of junior hockey and just be another player trying to make it. Unless he plays with Hermantown, Denfeld, or Duluth Marshall this year and next 🤔 Kniven is probably right on this one. See Jake Hale from Minneapolis. Tough to predict how any one kid will adapt ...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Get rid of the geographic bs and create more even teams. Have a North team if need be for travel purposes. Eliminate the Team CCM concept. Play like 6 games? Lame. Just my two cents. 👏👏👏 They don’t even follow the geography really as it is besides north and kind of GP. Just end the facade and move ...

Stramel presumably flew home from 15s Nat Camp today, so available for tryouts Sunday to be a rare 9th grade Eliter
From my fairly limited previous viewing, he should make it. Though I would say as an incoming 9th grader that a tryout, even if a formality, is probably best.

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

There are absolutely some on this list who should have been on teams already like Jackson Blake and Max Burkholder (when was the last time a Bantam Player of the Year had to tryout for elite league? I know YHH’s selection has nothing to do with EL team placement, but typically the top couple Bantams...

612, looked back at my post and your confusion is warranted. As for Andrews, I don’t know why he never went to HF (not sure on the timeline here but maybe caught wind of Huber?), but I believe he has quit hockey all together.

They should contemplate just renaming it Velocity / Breakaway High as the church aspect is really kind of a joke IMO. While I don’t disagree with the church aspect being a joke with this institution, I think you overestimate the cooperation of Velocity and Breakaway here. They’re more like rivals t...

Josh Weyandt Of Chan is often underrated / unnoticed. he was .915 in mshsl season last season. ,and over . 93 among the leaders in elite league last fall, Nothing set in stone yet I don’t think, but there’s a better chance Weyandt will be gone next year than there is he’s back with Chanhassen. Re: Biondi gone?

I mean, not that it wasn’t already basically certain, but his making of the Hlinka team essentially assures that he is not going to the NTDP (USA Hockey intentionally sends non-NTDP kids to Hlinka to provide them international and nhl scouting exposure). There’s still the USHL route I suppose for hi...

I think it was reported somewhere, maybe not this thread. Sounds like other indicators show he is coming back, but being named captain definitely doesn’t always mean that.

Both Mittelstadts to Kennedy. It fits. Hurts EPS chance of winning state and gives Kennedy a great chance of winning at A. It’s also highly unusual!

Re: Early Departures 2019-2020

Minnetonka had announced Bobby Brink as their captain last spring as well. Not saying I am in the know on where Pino or Biondi will end up, but I wouldn’t use the captain label as definitive evidence of staying.
