Re: Jackson Blake

Who knows? But if he liked Shattuck he’d of stayed their. I don't see it that way at all. So many guys are there for a short period of time and then go play somewhere else. Crosby, Brock Montpetit, Baumgardner, Bellows, and on and on and on and on. Some guys stay until graduation and others don't. ...

Re: Jackson Blake

Great Question "Fat Cat" on the Ellings kid. To my understanding the twin sister is still at Providence, and the family lives in Bloomington. How is the Busby kid eligible at Eden Prairie after playing in Colorado last year? Not sure on Ellings but Busby has been all over the place chasing somethin...

Re: Jackson Blake

They require the last three years of tax returns and other evidence as documentation of a significant change in income. Of course, “significant” leaves a lot of room for interpretation, My point exactly. My primary home didn't appreciate like I thought it would. I decided to contribute more to my o...

Re: Jackson Blake

62, how could MSHSL ever refute a financial hardship when moving from a private school to public? Seems like a bottomless can of worms. They require the last three years of tax returns and other evidence as documentation of a significant change in income. Of course, “significant” leaves a lot of ro...

Re: Jackson Blake

Why the bleeding heart O-town? The 1 year rule is known by all parties, including EPHS I have no idea what the rules are. They're always confusing. Tim Tebow didn't go to high school, but was an insane HS football star. Sometimes things don't make sense. I was told (obviously a very short version) ...

Good prediction MinnScout . Btw - I hear you are already working on next seasons incoming BSm transfers and KP will have the paperwork ready right after the State Bantam Trny? Any names you can share ? Wow, was this post meant to be ironic? All of the EP stuff this summer/fall has been sickening, b...

At what point do we start guessing which “little” SW suburb he’s talking about here, with over the top expensive STP and upset parents/kids who are cut. Might there already be a thread on this very subject?

D and Goaltending are supposed to be Hornet strength this year?
I didn’t think goaltending was a strength until the state tourney - where it was solid. Up until that point - there was a soft goal almost every game. They can’t afford to get into shootouts this year.

Re: Minnesota Article on Eden Prairie

Very valid points old timer and the parents/kids who lost spots to these transfers have every right to be triggered. It flat out sucks for these players. What’s especially garbage about the cut players/families situation is paying cash into the forced summer coaches camps for years. They aren’t for...

Re: Final Cuts

Three thoughts pop into my mind. 1 - Ken Pauly said on a podcast last year, we don't go into coaching to disappoint kids. It's the opposite. For those where this is the end of their dream, it's now on to a new dream. (I'm paraphrasing. I think his comment is excellent.) 2 - Another reminder that Cu...

Re: Minnesota Article on Eden Prairie

Word I also heard is that SEVEN (7) kids from the Portland area have come in to Minnetonka. While Minnetonka gets their share of move-ins, especially at the high school level (see their new goalie), this number is not true. They have 3 Portland area kids, one girl, two boys. EP has about the same a...

Sounds like YHH has confirmed Oberle is not returning? Not sure if their post is what prompted the question or not.

GoalieDad, thanks for your hard work. A couple of adds to your list: Bergsland Fargo (Wayzata) Pitlick Omaha (Chaska) Reiners Waterloo (Edina) Not sure but maybe this thread should be moved to the Junior Forum. Not much activity there so I like it on this one though. GB Adding a couple more from Ch...

Re: 2019 Elite League Rosters

Been said by multiple high school coaches that often goalies have a bit of an adjustment period after playing in HSEL once season starts. Their game can struggle early in HS season because of it. That strikes me as counter intuitive--help me understand. Are you saying that because EL goalies are se...

You can add Bennett Zmolek - Rochester Century to the list. He made the 23 man roster for Cedar Rapids USHL. If anyone wants to comb through them to see if there is any other breaking news, feel free! Otherwise I will be updating the rest of the USHL Rosters on EP Tonight and I will circle back. (I...

Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

School size and education was absolutely a factor here. However, these issues were known going into the original move to Minnetonka, so clearly hockey and the fact that the skippers were favorites also played a major role in the first transfer. I truly believe that the transfer back has more to do ...

School size and education was absolutely a factor here. Yeah because if Tonka is known for anything it's a bad education. Not what I said. Anyhow, “good education” and “bad education” for describing an entire school is ridiculous. Different schools fit different students well... differently. Some t...

just let it go scout...let it go......I'm not going to argue with you on if the tournament is a good one or not..But to try and convince me that one weekend in quebec is worth giving up a whole season of association hockey is laughable at best. I agree with you ClassA guy...he's not moving from AA to A to dominate anything. There are 3 D1 commits on SCC already with two more in the wings...Mack is a very good player, but he's not even attempting to move to dominate his own A team. He will be "one of the guys". Re: Transfers for 2019-20 season

Elliott Can you remember a high profile case were MSHSL actually enforced this rule? ie a family or school was caught red handed? This deal is somewhat unique in that the kid is wanting to go back and play with his buddies and the only reason they left in the first place was a job transfer. For tha...
