Re: covid and MH

Yet 99.9% recovery. Elevated tests, High PCR= more covid cases. Testing since 10/1 has increased by 23% +/-....while confirmed cases are up 38% +/- over that same time frame. More testing doesn't necessarily mean more cases. My postulate was twofold: Elevated tests AND High PCR. High PCR means more...

Re: covid and MH

The Great Doctor Fauci himself has suggested PCR above 35 is basically useless, and going to give false positives. Yet we fail to have a standard that mandates 35 or below. So yes, false positives are going to impact the case numbers. And the decision makers are keenly focused on case numbers (but r...

Re: Bridge Season Games

Buffalo had covid issues for Football done for the season as is MG but glad to see they are getting 100 more people in for a bridge game. Those who are most at risk or afraid of COVID should not attend tonight's bridge game. BTW it's at 5pm at SLP West Rink and I'm going to be there. Thanks for the...

Re: MSHSL Oct 1st Meeting (Boys Hockey Season Fate)

I don't think the Governor has much more time before he has to do something definitive to stop viral spread, if he's going to. 7,200 positive cases today in MN with a 15% positivity rate. Remember - current decisions are being made based on an average of 1,900+ cases per day. He can have a standard...

Re: Bridge Season Games

I was at BSM/HF game. Felt like real High School Hockey. I'm going tomorrow too. They let in 100 non-pass holding spectators.
BSM v. MG. Should be good.

Re: MSHSL Oct 1st Meeting (Boys Hockey Season Fate)

I love it when people say older folks dying from this is not important enough to change sports. Some lives are the ones we should base our decisions on! High school sports kids? 20 somethings with kids? Hunter, we can care about older people dying and still work to live our lives. Are you an advoca...

Re: MSHSL Oct 1st Meeting (Boys Hockey Season Fate)

This is probably the most common main stream article on the topic...not looking to argue about it, simply passing it on. https://www.nytimes.com/2020/08/29/health/coronavirus-testing.html This looks article tells the story!! PCR rates of 42 (what i understand the standard to be in MN) is useless! Y...

Re: MSHSL Oct 1st Meeting (Boys Hockey Season Fate)

My son will be a senior this year. We're okay with the MSHSL plan and the chance for him to play his final year for his school and with his teammates and at the same time minimizing risk to vulnerable family members. I cannot understand why people are insisting we act as though we are not in the mi...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

WOM: Your continued insistence on the 15% scenario (basically you say there’s a 15% chance a kid playing hockey (or going outside)) will get myocarditis) is flawed. Again, you’re assuming that 100% of kids playing hockey will get COVID, and 15% of those would get Myocarditis. Yet only 3% of kids tha...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

USA218 thanks for the report. It (and your) analysis is consistent with my response (a few threads above) to Wise Old Man.

The kids are not at risk to any concerning degree. And their risk to others can and should be appropriately mitigated.

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

Wise Old Man you’re misnamed. And you’re alarmist. While we can disagree about conclusions regarding risk, let’s get the facts straight. Right now MN Health shows that there have been a ballpark of 6,000 cases of COVID in Kids aged 15-19, and there are 219,000 kids in that age group. While I do ques...

Have on very good info that Jack Olson from BSM is heading to HF, so that option for Andrews may be closed. Olson a very, very good tender. But BSM had two ahead of him (Limesand and Frattalone).

EP looks good Blake has a day plus to get their act together South very easily could have lost to Rochester Century and should have lost to Hastings. I am not reading too much into this game. That Section 1AA is an absolute joke. There are no less than 10 full teams from other sections watching at ...

Re: top AA players to watch

I'd like to see the interview. Would be surprised if he was complaining...I'd also add that it is a little awkward that Lakeville South (or North) so frequently makes it to the X each year. Watching them get destroyed by EP here in the Quarters kind of emphasizes it as well. Gleason is right though-...
