Re: No State Tournament at the X this Spring....

Lots of moving parts. Some food for thought. If the MSHSL season started late, wouldn’t a school contract reflect the reduced season duration thus the coach is not being paid? Why would a coach need to resign HD position to coach MN Hockey if the MSHSL season hadn’t started? How is this different f...

Going to be a very deep Section Delano- Looks to be the favorite they bring back Brown, Paulson, Keranen and more. They just need a goalie Delano after Mahtomedi's breakthrough last year is the next blue blood in Class A lacking a title. This Tiger team will look to be the first to try and break the...

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

I think at this rate we can all assume there will be a shortened year.

Bigger questions how many games will be cut?

Will it be reduced to local travel like soccer?

Will MN hockey pick up the rest will those count as scrimmages?

Will there be a post season beyond localized sectional play ?

Re: Minnesota Hockey Taking Over?

Here’s a study for you: MN tier 1 has been going since the week of July 13th Not sure that is gonna hold up. I am sure you would even understand a league that meets for a few practices and plays some games on the weekend mainly while school has been out of session is not gonna give us a great indic...

Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

Here is a list of college hockey programs that will not be competing during fall semester and/or until January 1. I know this information has no direct bearing on any decision the MSHSL may make. That said, we are starting to reach critical mass, particularly at the DIII level, with nearly half of ...

Work of restarting fall sports in Minnesota gets down to the tough stuff By Paul Klauda JULY 23, 2020 — 7:06PM The push to restart high school sports next month in Minnesota is getting down to the nitty gritty. For example, how to adhere to Gov. Tim Walz’s new mask mandate during practice, where re...

So what is the compromise its hybrid and let the district incorporate the hybrid. We will all be told its hybrid learning on the 27th that's a done deal. Re: Will there be high school hockey for 2020-2021?

I think a case could be made to continue activities as usual even if kids aren’t in the classroom. Think about it: No matter how you try to mitigate the spread in schools, the kids are still in the same building breathing the same air and touching the same doorknobs. If there’s an outbreak in a sch...

This topic is done,,,, MN will have fall sports starting on Aug 17th... Every surrounding state league (EVEN MICHIGAN) is having Fall sports on time. Walz will say Hybrid on the 27th which will give the MSHSL enough to get a plan in place to announce sports again on August 4th. Its a done deal. Cant...

Amid all the protocols and ...
