Re: Bridge Season Games

Solid game. BSM played without 5/6 varsity players including 3 Elite League players. Looked like HF had full varsity roster. Good to see both teams playing real hockey including 3 periods, intermissions, announcer, music and decent crowd to watch. Other bridge games have been played more like scrim...

Yeah , Clay Hanus is at the Magicians
As I understand it, the WHL granted temporary releases to players, and they are expected to return to their teams in mid-December.
I heard Hanus is no longer with the Magicians.

All right I will bite. How many of them positive baseball players have died? How many of them baseball players ended up in the hospital? Why did the MLB not stop all games?

You have to be kidding me! Are you serious? They are not poaching players? What world do you live in? So give some examples of where the three schools mentioned have poached a player that had played varsity hockey at another high school? The St Thomas Academy goalie last season was brought in from ...

Re: Transfers 2020-21

If you think Lee Smith is "slimy" for getting a transfer or two a year, what do you think of the private schools St Thomas, Hill Murray, Holy Family, Blake, Benilde, Cretin and Breck recruiting hard each year? What would your word be for these coaches? Just curious. I’m not going to vouch for the r...

EGF would be a great place to have the game. It’s a shame they haven’t hosted one yet.
Also a shame Warroad or Roseau haven’t hosted, yet.
So true.
100% agree.

Re: Transfers 2020-21

Have on very good info that Jack Olson from BSM is heading to HF, so that option for Andrews may be closed. Olson a very, very good tender. But BSM had two ahead of him (Limesand and Frattalone). So a kid who currently lives in St Louis Park and has a 10 minute trip to school each day is now going ...

Re: 2019-20 Season Recap

Another great season of Minnesota HS hockey is in the books and it was another fun one. Best atmosphere – Section 3AA final when Burnsville faced St. Thomas. Braemar is the perfect venue for this game, as it fills up to near capacity. The Cadets brought their live band and each team was backed by a...

Re: 2020-21 Early Rankings: SWEET SIXTEEN

cretin will be in top 5. Cretin will be good, but not top 5. Awfully hard to replace the production created by Gleason and the minutes he played, not to mention that he always had the other team’s top D going against him. Big step up for someone who hasn’t had those responsibilities yet at the high...

Re: Seeding for State

There’s not a snowballs chance in 🏒hell STA will be seeded 😂 My prediction is they draw the Huskies☝️ That would be a bad draw for them then, STA has won 13 of 14 and only allowed 1 goal in sections. Hottest team in the state, at least considering where they were 2 months ago. I love this matchup.....

Re: Seeding for State

My two wishes: 1) The MSHSL puts the random draw on a live stream so I don't have to hear about this stupid conspiracy theory. Why the H would they even care enough to conspire about that? No on benefits from it. 2) This thread is only for Class AA. But more than that, it's amusing to read "they go...

Re: Seeding for State

-As for this year, only thing I think is EP will be one of the top 3. I know their H2H record against tourney teams isn't stellar, but they a) haven't lost since Blake has come in, which will be taken under consideration for sure, and b) will get the cred for winning 2AA that usually comes, as show...

Re: Seeding for State

1. Andover 2. Blake 3. EP 4. Moorhead 5. Hill if they win Lakeville South if they don't I think EP is the 4th seed and if they are higher than that, they are getting the benefit of the doubt based on reputation. Part of that reputation is playing in the Lake Conference, which was down this year. Tr...

Re: Mr. Hockey 2020

Cretin is not all Gleason. I think Biondi wins it. Hermantown has more support for Biondi than Cretin does for Gleason... imho... tight race either way... Joey Biondi is a great kid, but it would be really bad for MN High School Hockey if he won it. He can blame Pat Andrews and Beth Clark. Joey won...

Re: Section 6AA Seeding Discussion

I’m a little surprised Cretin isn’t the 2 seed. QRF favors Cretin and PS favors BSM. Cretin won the head to head. Being the 2 vs. 3 game is on neutral ice, it’s a matter of who’s home and away on the scoreboard. The MSHSL site has the 2 vs. 3 semi as the late game - should be a barn burner! Cretin ...

Gleason picks up 2 points and finished with 72

Malugani picks up 4 points and has 68 with one game left against Breck.
Doesn’t matter. Gleason is the AA scoring champ.

The scoring race is one thing. The Mr. Hockey race is a completely different thing. The scoring race will have little impact on the Mr. Hockey race, which is incredibly close, IMHO. Here's my current thought on that... 1a. Gleason 1b. Biondi They are both incredibly important to their respective te...
