Re: The Hermantown Thread

Move up or move on. Hermantown bitched with the rest of us when St. Thomas dominated Class A and they moved up. It's like reverse sandbagging. The Hawks play a predominate AA schedule during the season then step down and play the Class A Tourney. Being a 25+ Bronco fan in dire need of a tourney appe...

I'll just put it this way...... When Lou is gone from the color gig, there will be many threads to the effect of: -"The color guy isn't even in the same league as Lou." -"I miss Lou." -"Remember the good old days of clear boards, rock videos, & Lou Nanne?" Sorry Doc you will never see me post any o...

I wouldn't complain if Cake Eater Lou would quit. I wish FSN would take over the broadcast. I wouldn't complain about that.

Will Lou Nanne ever be unbiased.

I get tired of The Fossil Lou always announcing for Edina. Anyone else? I understand he has been an icon for The Minnesota State High School Hockey Tourney for an eternity, but really Lou all the calls aren't against The Hornets.

I was wondering how long before that comment came in. Now top it off with "When was the last time your team won a state tourney". Get serious. Go back to holding your breath until you get your way.

Lou Nanne is one of the most knowledgable hockey guys around. Absolutely love listening to him, he gives fantastic insight. As far as his bias towards Edina I can forgive it and understand it given that his two grandsons play for the Hornets. It's hard to blame any parent or grandparent for being a...

Sunsetcliffs98 wrote:Lou is a legend and his takes are very insightful.

Many of the detractors simply dislike his family connections to the Edina team.

It will be a loss when he decides to step down.

Not his family connections, just his reference of onesidedness when Edina's on the ice.

Unfortunately Lou will go out on his own terms because he is an icon in Minnesota Hockey. He will never give up the mic for the state tourney.

Give it up Lou

Sorry folks. Watched both games today and was pretty happy with Lou Nanne's commentating up until the point when he said Edina should have been 3 seed instead of 4 seed. You know he wouldn't be half bad if he could get over being so biased towards Edina. I work nights tonight and am glad I don't hav...

They're getting better as the season goes on. Seems like they're starting to gel a little better. Two nice wins against Duluth Central and Virginia. Tough loss to Hermantown. Hermantown has got a powerhouse this year. Broncos play Greenway tonight. Then a week off to play Detroit Lakes next Saturday.

Agreed that Edina didn't want to be there. They got what they deserved. Eagan played to win and they did. Pretty classless of the Edina player to start shoving refs around in the final minutes. I've watched a lot of rec and high school hockey in the last 10 years and have never seen a player do that...

I was hoping someone would start this thread before me this year. Unfortunately he is a hockey tourney icon. The way I hear it. If Edina is playin they're the only ones on the ice and the vantage point of Edina is the only one. He also leans toward cities teams. It's time for a fossil to go to a mus...
